Someone has taken quite a hit on the £45k list price for the mileage.

I think a lot of them are just greenwash, pictures on your website and social media, bragging about your electric van, then reality hits, they`ve got a way to go to suit most people and are quietly moved on.
Electric only works for small cars or the Tesla's that will do 300 to a charge.
Vans are pointless, did a roundtrip to mk today, near enough empty, e transit used 50% of it's charge.
Stuck with it for at least a other day so going to do some tip runs plus collect and sort stuff

Those transporters are just not fit for purpose.
people report much lower mileage than stated to a charge.
They were knocked up by a firm friendly to VW, ABP I think it was?

You can lease a small electric van now for less than £200 a month.
With octopus go you could be travelling to work for around 3p a mile if you only need to take a lunchbox😄

The mate who sent me the Ad has suggested they will make ideal camper van conversions…..you have somewhere to sleep and make a coffee while your solar panel charges them up!!

Where they expecting to charge up the paver too All the ones on the new bypass down here have been going from one section to another with now power at any locations 🤔🤷
Virtue signalling at its finest ..what's the combined emissions of all the pavers in the UK?
Seriously you've just got to laugh 🤣🤣🤣I mean how many in total are even running a day? 100-200? Imagine that going flat with full hopper on the middle lane of M6 at 2am 🫣😳

The engineer who fitted my home charger and also came back for the fault was in a sign written T5 diesel.
On the second visit he told me they are swapping them for the electric version. As some said earlier, its grandstanding for brownie points.
These guys do hundreds of miles a day with a fair bit of kit onboard..

Followed by a diesel generator

Apparently sub 50 miles they are actually getting and would assume much worse when loaded. From a bit of looking into them seem they were designed as a final destination vehicle which again crap range and not a huge payload. No idea what goes through designers heads, would be a fair few trips to unload an artics worth of gear

I wonder how they drive, and how big a generator you’d need to install in one (along with some reprogramming to allow it to charge and drive at the same time) to make one operate with a better range? And it would be interesting to know what sort of fuel economy would be achievable if it was generator-run, with the battery smoothing out the power requirements.
