Bloody good job I didn't stick yer mats in the 8x4 and hang 'em on the back of the car Friday then ..... went past the sign for Holsworthy on the A30 'bout 2.30pm en route to NewquayAway for the wife’s birthday up near @V8Druid land. Mortimer Forest yesterday and Elan valley today. Very nice part of the world, they just need to sort out a ferry from Ilfracombe to Swansea to cut the driving time down!

Wow !! pity I hadn't thenYou would have just caught me.
Currently at the pub on the Gower looking over to home (North Devon).
Planning on adding a towbar to the camper so if you won’t come to me then I will come to you.
PS. You probably got Newquay at the least worst time , when everything is open and sun shining but before the hordes descend.
It’s easily my least favourite part of Cornwall, but if you have kids/grandkids to amuse then different factors take precedence.

Yeah lashed it down maybe Friday late afternoon or could have been Saturday for quite a few hoursforgot to say ....... been 'kin cool here all day and yesterday - like 12C, combined with a nasty northerly breeze, been in 4 layers all day ... sun's been nice when out but the air just hasn't warmed at all
must've had some sort of rain here over the weekend too .... anything holding water has 2" sat in it![]()
ditto ...We had a week in Peranporth a couple of years ago, other half loved it and I suspect would happily move there given the chance. We had a day in Newquay, this the place you mentioned?

I bet building insurance might be awkward thereditto ...
Vicki has two of her best friends (from school) who live in Newquay and she gets down to see them as often as she can
If I could pick up where we are and drop it down there somewhere (complete with toys, etc.) ........
I like Cornwall, even though it's the back of beyond and anywhere is several hours drive from there
yeh - that's inhabited ... the place at the other end (mainland) of the bridge, out of shot, is derelict - roof is off it
Josh works at the land reg. and is gonna 'investigate' on the QT![]()

Whats the score with collecting the clippings on the drive? Is it just as easy to do and plenty of tipping spots so why not? I've been mulching the clippings on my back lawn atm. When its dry I always thought it was better for the lawn. Im pretty sure they mulch them on my lads school field as well.can get about 5 passes on the Countax, beside the drive, with me doing a Bazza/joey Dunlop, with me bum hung off the uphill side of the mower ..... after that i can't keep the uphill wheel on the deck - it's deceptively steep

a.n.other 'daisy massacre' and a.n.other collector full of green shite

and then it's Dane time, for the rest of it --- looks alright when it's all done though

apart from what the Dane spits out the back end
then I took her up the drive, did outside the barn on the turning area, two passing places and a green area at the top of the drive, 'fore coming back down and knocking the docks, nettles and anything else of varying shades of green down to the 'knap' in the horsey girl's little 1/3rd of an acre paddock beside the main drive ... didn't want it getting into the state it was in last May when i did it for the first time last year ... nettles were 6 ft high ... Dane takes it all in its stride though

cleared all the collector-fulls into the various dumping heaps about the place and suddenly ........... it was time for tea![]()
Hope your aim is ok else might end up worse offI'm gonna start shooting any I see on it
as I'm the only one that makes the effort (or has the kit), the others are welcome to rake them up if they don't like seeing the results lying on the mown bits .... I run the Dane up the edges of the black top with the blades running to blow anything 'stray', back onto what I've cut ... works fine with a couple of passesWhats the score with collecting the clippings on the drive? don't use the air rifle often, but am usually still pretty reasonable at hitting what I aim at .... wouldn't want to point a 12G at the polytunnelHope your aim is ok else might end up worse off![]()
