right gentlemen -- get the collective grey matter engaged and tell me what this is worth
Know the owner well and he's fussy/fastidious about caring for his vehicles - ex neighbour - nice guy
got it sat on the side of the main A465 where the locals sell quite a few vehicles from (but not very well positioned)
was lashing down this morning when I stopped for a shufty .. if it's dry later, when I pick Clara back up I'll have a better look

If you really want a pickup then the Navara NP300 ticks many boxes. But then I'm biased :ROFLMAO:
IMG_4119.jpeg

Bought mine brand new in November 2018 and really does bring a smile to my face every time I use. Only done 41k and still drives like new. On fairly new General Grabbers. And it's Tekna auto - the 7 speed box is faultless. And returns excellent economy even when towing 3.5T
Mine was main dealer serviced for the first 5 years and I give it good dose of Waxoyl every year. Now serviced by me. My brother thinks that I over service it with oil and filter changes etc.
Only thing other than new brakes, was a few pairs of wipers and a Nox sensor and a new battery (under warranty) :giggle:
Now here's the thing, I think that one up for sale at the side of the road is overpriced and he's chancing his arm. Check out the market Gra - IMHO I think you will get a better deal elsewhere.
When shopping for pickups in 2018 I checked out many others and this was the best of the bunch

Wouldn’t personally say he’s that fussy with maintenance considering the MOT advisories it’s had for the past few years. It’s going to want some anti roll bar links, bushes and maybe tyres unless they have been done since the test last month!
boots looked pretty fair at a glance TBH ..... but it was lashing down :(

It does have to be said that the shaker that the mot stations use will pick up on movement that wouldn't have been noticed previously 😉

That’s very true, and to be fair probably not all play noticeable when driving! I’d rather just have things right wherever possible. I wouldn’t want an advisory for a loose battery though!

This is the app I use on my phone and iPad. I’ve got all my vehicles stored, it then reminds me when tax/mot is due on each of them. It’s handy to check mot history when buying too 😉

haven't bought a second hand car/vehicle in over a decade Jim
The garage me and my mates used for mots for years was a couple of hundred yards from a cafe. Standard procedure was to try and book one for 9am on a Saturday, drop truck off, walk over for a fry up, check mot history and when it updated walk over and pick it up 👍
Closed now, got done for passing virtually anything 😬
I only used them because they were close to the cafe of course😄😄🤐🤐

I've one like that but pain in the arse as it's down in the ghetto...
We just say they are "sympathetic with older vehicles" and if course it helps if you "know them"

We used to call it 'sensible men having sensible discussions' 😆🤣
To be fair I never asked for anything, just dropped it of, said I'm going to the cafe and left them to it.
The place I go to now is a lot more by the book, so I do actually feel I'm getting a bit more than a bit of paper for my 50 quid 👍

Many moons a mate near Pompeii in Italy told me there was two prices for their version of MOT...
40eur if you take the car 80 or something if you didn't ....lol

Was up all night, last night with a very poorly puss - was at the vets waiting for 'em to open at half eight ...
was a VERY long night ...
they no longer do an out of hours emergency jobbie, or he'd have been there at 2 a.m. .. :(:(

Squeak's 18+ and fit as a flea - was fine 'til they gave him a prescription flea tabby last Saturday. Killed all the fleas that have been giving him hell, but appears to have damned near killed him 🤬
We've given up on all the 'over the counter' crap - just does not work  and is bloody expensive for zero results ... 🤬

vets're of the opinion, that like rats and poison, they've become immune to just about everything out there that's easily available :(

they don't bother with me for some reason, but eat Pam alive so she was ecstatic, to see 'em drop like flies off Squeak - dead as ....
aside from the fact it's bloody near killed Squeaky Puss :(
was in a bad way last night and the vet will be reporting his issues to the manufacturers. Says it's the first time she's had any issues, but, as they say, always a first time  and it has obviously had some serious side effects on Squeaky.
Vomiting on/off all night and been off his food for two days, so not a lot to vomit, poor little bugger - I know what that feels like

so he's been in Pussy hospital all day and likely to be there for maybe most of the weekend on a drip, pain killers, anti-inflammatories, appetite boosters and whatever else is required ..
gonna be a dear weekend, but my cats have always been like my kids - I ain't got any, other than Pam's two

have had him 16 years and a gentler, nicer tempered mog, you couldn't find..
loves Clara and Harper and was brilliant with them when they were really small - used to pull him about mercilessly and he'd come back for more
Losing him is inevitably gonna leave a big hole in our house ...
but not just yet hopefully, if I can do anything about it

All reports have been good all day - has the blood results of a 3 yr old apparently :love:
they rang about ten minutes ago to say he was comfortable, plumbed up overnight, on fluids and pain killers, curled up asleep
talk to 'em in the morning, see how he's doing and whether he's gonna need more time on the drips or if he's gonna get 'kicked out' !
At least he'll be coming home upright :)

Coming up on my 40th hour awake, since I got up Thursday morning and flagging a bit - can hear my bed calling me
haven't had to 'pull a long shift' in some time

Well my one was £9500 with 100k miles. 2019 and in pretty much immaculate condition, could have done £10k miles . So far I love mine. Good on fuel, pulls well, comfy drive, nice auto box.

Glad he's getting better 👍
as I just said to Bob in a PM .....
slept like the dead last night, 'til the vets rang me at 09.00 ...
" doing well .. will report again at lunch time .. if he's OK you can collect him at half four "
rang again at half one ..
" eating, used his tray again, purring his head off - he's such a sweet cat - should be fine to collect "
get there for quarter past and they've two emergencies going down ...
so spent half an hour with him 'out the back' in their 'kennels' - clean, warm, really nice facilities, fussing him 'til it'd settled down
left there half five with a purring puss ..
booked us a slot for 11 tomorrow - in case, but otherwise call them to report progress at eleven
he'd been moved to their other branch yesterday as it was their turn to do the weekend and overnight rota - in Ebbw Vale, which is a bit of a trek,
missing several patches of fur from scans, IV drip canulars, etc., but looking a lot better than Friday morning.. has had several goes at some food this evening ..
and is well PO-ed with me 'cos I've locked the cat flap and he's gonna have to use a tray tonight - it's snowing and bitter and DARK - no way is he going out the flap tonight - gonna be another night shift BTLs
things we do for our animals

this un's been stretched out on me most of the evening .. Squeak's had his favourite spot on Pam's lap

'nother long night ...
he eventually went to sleep about half six after wandering around, cat napping here and there for ten and giving his food bowls multiple, but brief attentions.
had settled down on my lap for twenty, but then decided he'd be more comfortable curled up in a fluffy blanky in a chair, where he stayed 'til half nine.

Went and gave his food bowls a caning :giggle::love: and then 'insisted' on an 'outdoor stroll' ...
light and able to keep him in sight, so relented ...
went straight for a water bowl i'd put down yesterday, in anticipation, then a puddle, and back to both bowls I'd put down and drank more than I've ever seen him do in one go
Then strolled back indoors :giggle:, bit more nosh and settled down on my legs, whilst Pam administered me Hamster Juice.
At which point we both had an hour or so's shut eye  while me drip, dripped.

Had rung Lluise the vet and reported, as requested - he seemed happy ..
all we need now is a pee an' a poo sometime today and things're looking real good.
Got some lab results to come back mid week and as long as they don't come back with anything 'sinister', it's a case of finish off his meds courses, put back 0.3kgs he's lost and re-grow several patches of fur on the bald bits:ROFLMAO:

🤞🤞🤞's looking good and 1000% compared to Friday morning at half eight :oops::(
was a long two hour wait between him chucking this up (apologies for the 'detail', but can see why I was worried - took the pic to show the vet),
WP_20260213_06_31_43_Pro.jpg and the vets opening on Friday morning.
