granny busy yesterday making her a cake ...
pity the glitter didn't show up so well in the pic! looked amazing
can't recall the 'style' of it but apparently a bit of a bar steward to decorate .... she cracked it though
Also BIL's today too.
day we took the top off of the dead oak in July '16
Pam didn't get a shot of the mast at full height
easy B/days to remember .. 9/11 ...
can't believe that was 21 years ago ....
On a much sadder note ... Clara & Harper lost their great granny last night .... daddy's side ... has had MS for years and amazed everyone just how she's defied it .... tough ol' bird, fair play ... succumbed to bloody covid last night
Not told Clara yet ... she adored her Great Granny Muriel, but is so excited this morning, about her little sister's birthday. It will wait.

tasted pretty damned good too .... Pam has GF baking/cooking off to a fine art ..... and it was called an ' ombré ' cake apparently, where the colours're graduated .... so we've all learnt summat therelittle Harper's first birthday today ...

.... not been a great weekend for her ...funeral for her 'friend' Bluebell, this afternoon after school ...
she wanted to be 'in on it'
and is of an age to 'get her head around it' now " Granny Muriel will be able to look after her now, won't she grand dad ? "

.... contributed an inordinate amount of taxes though .... and it'll be your generation working to 82 on 20% tax ... I can recall the days when 41% of my wage packet was stoppages (33% tax & NI) .... and mortgage rates were 17% ... you never had it so good
