had Friday to Monday booked with the kids at Centerparks - again ... Clara loves it ...
got up wed.s feeling like it was never going away ...
totally disconnected - unfit to drive - head and body totally out of sync. ...
and wiped out still.
Said to, the boss unless I was improved next day she'd be leaving me at home ....
went down like a lead balloon ...
Thursday was an improvement and had just about emptied the lungs of whatever the **** was living in 'em ...
after 4 weeks of it I was well PO-ed with it. Said we'd see how I was Friday morning.......
another lung emptying sesh Friday and I was feeling a bit more normal, so we went and been improving daily since.
have spent several hours in their 32C pool daily, just floating about semi weightless, which has been great for the body .. (I don't swim, so as long as I have me floaty thing, I'm OK - drowned when I was three and got re-sussed, so me an' water ain't the best of friends .... have a deep seated, inherent fear of it) .... Clara, swims like a fish, as do the rest of 'em .... I am quietly trying to learn, but don't float very well, which doesn't help.
the dog like bark has buggered off, my taste is back to normal and my appetite is back ...
short of getting mugged by whatever it was, again, I think I can say I'm on the mend and hopefully, relatively bolstered in the immunity stakes .....
could've done without
(a) it, in the first place
and
(b) it being so ****in' hot in the middle of it all ....
23C'll do me nicely, any time, any place, anywhere ....
32C was taking the p*ss
Now, I've got a month's worth of tish to catch up with .... grass being top of the list

Looks like your infection was 'mild' on the scale of things and Mr Reaper didn't come knocking on yer door
We too love Centre Parcs and have had many great family holidays there
Like you, we do NOT, post anything while we are away. Usually do an Album on FB afterwards.
BUT the friends who have a limited attention span usually comment in the present and not the past tense

.......... and've had some of the weirdest/wildest dreams in a long time ..... not quite hallucinatory .. but bordering on very strange.although folks think centerparks're dear, TBH for what's on offer, all the facilities and the mega organised set up, I don't really think they're THAT expensive ..... four adults and two kids ain't gonna be a cheap anywhere!! .... I take my hat off to their systems and really like the fact that every employee you talk to is as happy as Larry, been there quite some time and nothing is too much trouble .... makes a great change from yer average disgruntled 'mong' in the leisure sector

My sister and BIL love centreparcs. Personally it's my own idea of hell on earth. I'm not even sure I'd want a cruise. Too many people for me.

TBH Alex, 's not my idea of a hol. either ..... certainly not what I'd choose ... like to be under my own steam, wandering at will, usually around Europe, but for the kids, etc., it's so well sorted ....... be even better without so many bodies milling about, but considering the volume of people at any given time, it's pretty damned good/amazing

Yeah. My idea of a holiday is a gite in the south of France for a week, with a pool for the missus and a secure fence so the 4 legged child can't escape.TBH Alex, 's not my idea of a hol. either ..... certainly not what I'd choose ... like to be under my own steam, wandering at will, usually around Europe, but for the kids, etc., it's so well sorted ....... be even better without so many bodies milling about, but considering the volume of people at any given time, it's pretty damned good/amazing

... took some clearing up ... had an hour on it yesterday after cutting it and then had to sit down for a couple ..... same today couple of hours getting it all cleared away ... then spent the afternoon recovering .. absolutely knackered ...... going to take some time to recover my stamina levels BTLs
