Nice to have an easy fix!
absolutely ...... really did not want to have to take the head off ...... they're lil' bar stewards to start after the heads been off usually.
knew it couldn't be much by the rockers ... just a case of shifting the odd crumb ....... Pam came in useful watching the valves for me, whilst i bar-ed the damned thing around from underneath.
running like his old self afterwards. Bloody mice!!!

first mile into the city is usually bad but unbelievable this morning .... and after three sets of lights it magically cleared and i rolled into Wiggins yard about 8.10, just in time to help Russ drop 7 falls onto the Lieb.

Guys there had got the first lift half out the door and by the time we'd rigged, it was ready for a 'flight'.

Keeps you busy!
aye ..... belly full of tea last night and I was goooooone :giggle: .... was a busy couple of hours and an early start for me after a very poor night's sleep ... zonked yesterday evening :)
Do they not have to wear hats and hivis etc? Seems nicely relaxed 👍
own site and do as they want .... none of the usual bollox ... I was 'togged' in me 'Jaffa' overalls, hi viz vest and bonce protector (for my own good - load was just the right height to crack yer head on) ...
they kept out the way once they'd skated the lifts out to us and I stayed 'visible' for Russ, not as he's any risk to my health ... does exactly as he's asked and i'm in charge on the floor

If they had the big hiab there (I assume for unloading at the destination) then why did they need another crane Graham?

Just about to write this
transport only booked ... just happened to send yon 8 wheeler ... 60t gantries at other end .... Russ has done quite a few of these and wanted me there, to speed things up yesterday ... had other things to do after lunch, rather than having a leisurely day, using their blokes to load with ... they devoted their energies to getting 'em out to us, whilst we 'charged on' getting 'em air borne and onto trailers :giggle:

Skates Jim .... gantry couldn't handle them as a lump ... lift a side at a time onto skates and bowl them out with a 4.5t Nissan FLT ... no real dramas ... everyone mucked in, once we'd got the first one airborne and were waiting on the trucks .... first one on about 9.30 and all on by 10.30 ...
smooth operation ;):giggle: .... Russ likes to have 'knowledgeable help' with him .... speeds everything up, if he has other things to do after

Pam's tommy grow bags, I'd picked up on me way home from Russel's job on Thursday - one short - only had seven, so cleaned 'em out .. she wanted to get her plants in and under cover from the forecast rain last night ... and didn't it ever come down :oops:.

It's squirrel time again .... little sods are eating the strawberries green ATM and any red ones they can find - I haven't managed to get my hands on one ripe one yet ...
Clara got the first one ...

I bought my nephew's a massive box worth of that stuff. Always wanted it when I was a kid. Never got any tho :(

I spent yesterday with a friend of mine in Weston, went for food, then back to hers for a dip in the hot tub. Eventually got home round 8pm and grabbed a kebab on the way back.

Today has been shopping & cooking. Did a gorgeous Ragu on tagliatelle for dinner.
