Chippers are for solid woody waterial if you want to put alsorts of garden waste through it then you need a green waste shredder
I'm not sure what the little multi purpose ones are like but I should think there is a reason they don't make larger dual purpose machines

2nd that burn all our crap, always amazes me how efficient it is and what little it is, 2L of cherry is my preferred starter motor.
I hire a chipper often tho...hunt about £100 gets me a decent TW 6in or tad more if I bend his arm for a tracked 8in which is

Done our 07 plate brake disks few months back need to soak in the oil for few day before fitting as wet brakes squawk bad if you don'tThank you Aiden ..... knew someone'd know

absolutely .... just did for a bin full of dry leaves an hour ago .. couple of bags of ash for the bin men once a month 'praps .. depending on how much crap you generate
you need one (or two) of these Alex ..... just knocked out a new one yesterday ......
keep a lid on it when not in use to keep all the ash dry ..... starts so much easier on a dry bed
the hole is to fit me weed burner lance/torch in .... that gets it going in double quick time .... and a leaf blower really 'encourages' the burn
thin disc in a X pattern and a ball pein hammer to knock 'em in a bit ..... make sure you remove the top first though, before creating any heat in the drum with the disc .... this 'un'd had kero in it and would not want to go generating sparks into that as a sealed drum
BOOM!!Hammer and cold chisel soon drops the top in and leave it in the bottom for a double thickness base

least she had 'til 'The Lil' Monkey' and her mum turned up with the rest of our shop that she couldn't get at the weekend, and they mysteriously vanished !!!
first thing on Clara's agenda ..... after blowing kisses at granny was ..... beat seven shades out of the rocks ...
never ceases to amuse her ....... followed by some generator washing off with a bucket and brush, which 'degenerated' into a water fight ..... needless to say, guess who got the wettest .. Pam has some pix apparently - not seen 'em yet ..... giving her the high ground ....
was a mistake, but not satisfied with being two feet above my head, with a bucketful of water and a tin can to lob it with, she had to 'go for it' .....
and no, grand dad did not take the opportunity for revenge on a 'sitting duck' target
she really misses nursery and all her friends .. so amusing her when she appears for an hour or so is a must do .. but sadly doesn't last for long
had a couple of hours later, after they'd departed, juggling some 'stuff' about, getting at some of me gear that's been slung into various corners and enable me to have a n other patch square up ... sort of .. get some of me att.s more accessible for some TLC and rationalise the spaces some of 'em had vacated ...
a 'perfect lift' on me walker ... first time .. easier than walking it across for sure .....
be handy to have someone on the deck, lining up a landing sometimes though ... but I can usually juggle it about with a nudge here and there ...
if it doesn't throw it down, I might get all the rest of the various sundry odds and sods sorted and relocated tomorrow ... VA-r and forks time for that lot
also got a serious quantity of dead leaves cleared up from where this lot'd been sat .... third or fourth bin-full I've burnt, that I've been able to get at ... they're bloody everywhere
must order some more HBZP tomorrow

allways fancied one of these, smoke is what causes the grief so do away with that and you could burn all day.
air blower from a bouncy castle and line an IBC with fire bricks....

Problem with fire is not pissing off the neighborhood. As rural as we are, it's still fairly built up.

As Tim once told me, the trick with a air curtian unit is to load it to the point the air is actually doing something useful and fanning the flamesthey were discussed at length, some time ago on CEF Fred ..... air curtain keeps all the smoke/fumes contained within the burn chamber .. very good but need a fair bit of rubbish to warrant lighting ..... a smaller version'd be handy for garden crap though for sure ........ think yer IBC'd melt pretty quick though

This is exactly what we use Graham - new one knocked up with the air chisel at least once a yearabsolutely .... just did for a bin full of dry leaves an hour ago .. couple of bags of ash for the bin men once a month 'praps .. depending on how much crap you generate

This is my previous one on it's last legs and now scrapped.
Like you find that with a good base and the air draw ensures that it gives a clean burn.
Nonetheless always wait until the wind is from the south so as not to piss off the neighbours

granny giving her the hose pipe was not sporting
and mummy bought her some BIG water pistols, which she arrived with today .... I left my phone in the house, to keep it dry .. so no pix from me, 'til after the water fight'd stopped ... and jake'd become the centre of attention again .. she's not been in there in a while
one day we'll have run it up ....... with plenty of space around it
then she had to 'fix' the headlights on the disco ....
with 'her' spanner ...... all I have to do is find where she left it tomorrow ??
been making a little progress on me patch sort out ..

and a pile of knackered stuff to block up for the firewood basket ...... plus a lot more of those bloody leaves cleared up and 'incinerated'
Pam's birthday Saturday and she 'ventured out' to our local nursery for a 'click and collect' mission ..... she's had green itchy fingers for weeks ... so said "forcrisesakes, go and get what you want " .. came back with two car fulls ....
kept her busy Sunday ..
must say, looks better than the weeds which'd gotten them selves well established in her planters

Friday !!...After a phone call cry for help .... Simon and a problem, as usual ... could I get this spindle out of this pulley ?...didn't quite anticipate such a beast
and of course it had to pee down, just as we were having a go .... came out bushes an' all, which was a real bonus ...... all socially distanced .. of course
this was the amount of water we'd had drop out the sky Thursday night ...
I'd emptied both of 'em last wed.s evening .. with a similar level from earlier in the week ... was some bit wet here .......
and Pam beat the squirrel to these .......
newly planted tree earlier this year, so was surprised to see it fruit ........ t'other tree's haven't ripened yet, but we're gonna have to beat the squirrels and the birds to those
not a lot done today, 'tween a 'hamster juice' morning and entertaining the 'monkey' this afters, so's Vicki could get some work done, for a return to school, Thursday ..... really do not see the point TBH, for the last two weeks of term, with 25% of the kids, for what will essentially be a 'baby sitting' exercise FFS
'Sposed to be a pretty nice day tomorrow, so can get on again and have a n other squaring session ...... wish the bloody wind'd drop though ... been pretty rough here all day ... nice in the sun if you could get out of the hooley
