I like cake
So I’m saying we’re on a W recovery. If you listen to people everybody and I mean everybody is saying within reason there flat out .
amazon
Online retail
Now in store reta
Plant sales (May was my second busiest month on record)
Builders
Car sales
House sales and enquires
Stock market recovery’s
etc etc
etc etc
What I think is going on is there is so much furlough money, so many bounce back / cbils loans that people are using it for there own good.
Also given that most things have been closed there is going to be a lot of initial demand that’s built up over three months . If 800 people out of 10000 wanted to buy new clothes for example over the last 3 months and now the shops are open that 800 people may have dwindled to 600 as uncertainty. 600 people in a very short period of time will make things seem very busy. It won’t last and once the 600 people are ok, the new shoppers looking for clothes will be 400 from the usual 800, but this time they will spread over 3 months as the shops are open and there’s no rush.
That’s my general view and right now we have had the first stroke the the W, we are now on the second. The third one which is downward will just be longer than what we have just had. Then the final upward part will be summer 2021 I hope..
I do worry with brexit too this could be a very hard winter . Hopefully people have used there loans correctly and have long term plans for liquidity to ride it out
