A friend of mine (Not a friend of a relative of a friend etc) works in the registrar’s office And they saw an unusual spike of deaths due to ”pneumonia” Back in December. Kept going over New Year and Kept rising before they realised what we’ve got on our hands. I only know of one person, ex-workmate, who‘s died of Covid.

I know 2 people who have died of it (one was my uncle, both had other underlying health issues) and I know at least 4 other people who have had it and are fine.

Should have said “definitely” died of it. lost five friends in one week of “other” causes back in March. Apparently now the death rate is lower than normal. I suppose a lot of the weak and wounded have already died. Someone predicted this would happen back at the beginning of lockdown.

That's the thing there's apparently a lot of deaths going down as covid 19 which are not. A local farmer to me tragically died recently when his quad bike rolled over and his death certificate had covid 19 on it as cause of death. Wtf.

as have said before elsewhere .. I'm convinced I had it beginning of January ...... MEGA dog rough ... floored for two weeks and hefalump on my chest for four days ... I want an antibody test ... but a reliable one .... deffo had a lot of 'fitting' symptoms ... have had pneumonia before and pleurisy twice .... this was worse

ditto, both my parents were in bed with flu like symtomps in jan.

Deffo some harvesting effect going on taking the old and vulnerable...an increase in cases wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing if amount young or fit. Build up immunity. Unfortunately oz seems to be trying to copy nz. Problem is genie already out of the bottle in oz and I'm not sure is viable to eliminate. We will see how nz is going in a year when there's still no vaccine I think they might be a bit fed up of their bubble by then.

well the flood gates have been open for around a week here ,already got a new case in st davids and all holiday cottages etc open from monday

This... I've heard of similar thing in two instances...went down as covid ...family said deffo wasn't?

Agree!! Been twice lovely place but so small minded! Feel sorry for businesses there ..got two mates with decent businesses and say yes...gov crowing about how good a job they've done but buggered the economy..

I worked there for an agri contractor for 6 months
They will all be screwed if the restrictions arnt lifted for harvest as the majority of there harvest staff are British and Irish nationals
Where I worked over 75% of all seasonal staff where British so there won't be a harvest if they arnt careful
And its not like the UK where the fruit pickers stay here year round moving from job to job the harvest staff fly in for the season

Thousands in corona protest in Tel Aviv
There was a massive police riot when thousands of people gathered in Tel Aviv. They are demonstrating against the Israeli authorities' handling of the covid-19 pandemic.

Thousands of people showed up at Rabin Square in Tel Aviv. It was a announced demonstration.

The protesters are protesting against the authorities' handling of the corona pandemic, according to The Jerusalem Post.

According to the newspaper, it was expected that the demonstration could be violent, and the police were heavily present in the city.

- The demonstrators have no intention of being kind, one of the organizers is said to have told the newspaper Ynet earlier Saturday.

The protesters claim that the authorities have hardly helped all those who have had to close down their businesses due to infection control measures.

Hundreds of thousands of Israelis have lost their jobs due to restrictions and closure. Unemployment has risen to over 20 percent, while support for Netanyahu has plummeted.

No major unrest was reported during the demonstration.

Lots of that going on,people working and claiming.the self employed are pretty stupid claiming and working as the tax is mostly paid at source so I’m sure they will get found out when the figures match for certain dates.i know a few who have done it and it’s just wrong.i got the paperwork to fill in but I’m ok so did not bother.i expect a lot of people have made a lot of money by fiddling the system and I really hope they get caught and fined.even next years tax accounts may well show extra cash over a certain period.hmrc ain’t stupid.

@Nick... the self employed are allowed to keep working it's a grant not furlough. Not sure about this latest round but was true for the first.

Ltd company directors can furlough but would have to stop work. I know idiots who've done it for the 500 quid a month, kept working and left paper trails ie registering boilers for warranties. Some will get pulled for deffo
