When I tell most I've not paid any caz charges they look at me as though I'm the idiot. Total and utter scam. Nothing to do with cleaning the air...only hoovering your wallet out.

They don't have time or resources to send bailiffs out.
I point blank refuse to pay it. They can't even make their mind up here on how many premature deaths occur from it. Studies say its as long as 2 days they die early over what they would do.
The charge is £10 or £50 for hgv but fine is £70.
Loads of van running about with exact same engine as cars but if its in a car it's fine to carry on.
If I still had 432 they'd want 50 a day from that too.
The hot spots of our pollution was in 2 areas...one been the bus station (where obviously lots of busses are sat ticking over) and the highest reading is outside the train station (where we have diesel trains pulling away every few mins) buy no its the vans/truck that cause it all.
Long story short I just tell to fcuk off.

Today is apparently good wood revival. I am sat under a flight path of a constant stream of helicopters ferrying people down from London.
How is it that this is perfectly acceptable. Infact checking flight radar the sheer number of private planes around the world just circling is amazing. Yet we can't have older trucks running for work.
I don't know how true it is but I was told the other day that the air pollution values they have taken from London that are so bad are centering around bus stations and train stations where diesel engines are idling on the trains and buses, and ln the London underground where there are no vehicles.
