FLT LPG is 18kg and has a clockwise male thread and dip tube and arrow. Normal Propane is 19kg bottles with no dip, and reverse thread female connection (POL) You could make a FLT work on Normal if you fabricated a hose and used the bottle vertically upside down I suppose!only if they're 'liquid withdrawal' type (i.e. designed for FLT use) all others are vapour discharge ... can get vapour out of FLT bottle if you stand it upside down or with the arrow facing up, on its side
conversely all vapour discharge will give liquid if stood upside down
's why you never lay a propane or DA bottle on its side if using it for oxy cutting - always stood up or you'll possibly/probably get a liquid discharge depending on how full/empty it is
CO2 bottles are similar some are vapour, others are liquid and have a dip tube to the very bottom of the cylinder - can usually hear it rattle when bowling them about.
