It doesn't meet the regs. When you apply for planning and building warrant you have to have plans drawn up and someone with an SER certificate (I think it's called) does structural calculations taking into account the ground conditions, snow loadings and local wind and weather loadings on the building and specifies the construction materials, sizes and construction . The building is built to this spec and he signs it off before you get a completion certificate. I've been told it impossible to get a CE certificate for second hand buildings and in so is not possible to reuse the steelwork to put up building second hand but it does happen. If it's a super heavy duty construction building with nice big deep foundations and extra bracing everywhere, there's a chance you can get it signed off by someone but the majority of the buildings you will see at auctions are not this.
Easier to build it for AG, hope you get away with it for 10 years then get a CLU

talking of sheds ...
@Mogman - any idea of a cost to collect to your yard and on to Druid central, at a convenient juncture, for one of these?
there's 4 in this auction ... wait for the link to load - it's slow
make a good start point, for what I'd like ;) and save me a bit of work

Don’t think that lot will fit on my 8m trailer and the big one won’t fit down your driveway

rafters'd be about 23ft ... and see it's only a 12 deg pitch :( ... bit shallow that on 40ft span ... prefer to see 15 degs on over 30ft spans

Has anyone ever cut one in half before? I want a couple of 20ft Hi cubes for a project but they are going to be backed up against a hedge and roofed over with side doors and windows cut.. so I'm loath to buy nice ones just to ruin them. Plus the high ones are pretty rare around here. I cant get 40 ft in to my bit, but I could get it off the road and cut it, then move the last 100 yards with small wagon or tele handler.

Not done it myself, but regularly go to a conversion place that cuts them to 20ft`s or any size you want.
If twist lock blocks are not needed, they just weld a box section frame internally of 50x50 for uprights and roof, extending to ground level with a foot on them and a 100x50 under the floor. Fully seam weld the sides and roof to the frame. The back wall they use sheets with the same profile as the sides, and again seam welded onto the frame. If its the other half, the same idea but the fab doors up.
All the components needed are iso standard and can easily be bought, sheets and door panels are available for both standard and hi cube sizes.

Cheers for that. Having done the sums and looked at logistics - it makes more sense to put up with regular height containers and buy 2 decent ones.

Container prices are falling, or so I`m told, you may drop lucky on what you need.
Market place is rife with container scams, keep your eyes open👀
Yes all sorts of scams. I will probably use Heaver Bros in Exeter as they will sell 20ft single trip for £2450+vat and will haul 2 of them up and crane off for £400+vat which is very reasonable. I would like HiCube but they are £3600+vat which is a lot of extra money for a foot of headspace. Wont be till Spring that I have the base ready - so maybe (just maybe) they might be a spot cheaper then.

Anyone used or knows anything about a wacker dt15 this has caught my eye
One went through Richie’s this month, made £7500 from memory, looked at them myself but couldn’t find much about them so would be interested to also know people thoughts (I won’t be bidding on that one)

Edit: £7250
