I had a few doogees and although they have a tough screens the other bits break like the loud speaker.
Ive given up now and buy a £70-£80 phone from the supermarket. On average they seem to last a year before i brake the screen.

I'm liking my Nokia XR20 so far, a few differences to the CAT phone I had, my old man still has a cat S62pro and when I use it it feels heavy and numb compared to my Nokia. My only gripe is the screen lock/unlock button is a bit flush and not overly easy to find in the dark or just by feel but I'm used to it now and I'm liking it.

I used to 100% agree and bring back the indestructible phones. I now am the converted but it has taken a lot of broken iphones to find the right case and convince me. I now use what looks like a posh mans leather cover with a magnetic flip that covers the screen
Not in a dark colour but bright red or yellow, whatever, so i've got more chance of seeing if i've left it on the roof of the motor (long story, twice, police dogs cant find s**t when you want them to)! It might look posh but it protects the phone from pretty much all bangs and falls. Add a screen protector which has to be changed every 6 months at £1.99 and it's the best, longest lasting phone i've ever had. Technology then takes over, there are no oily fingers any more. To unlock, you look at thefucker and then select with your nose and dictate what you want to send. Its so easy :) . Ye, I know some old school are going to say it can't be run over etc, but, really! if your going to leave your phone under a track then you shouldn't own a phone anyway (car roofs are excluded from this). x

so the Ulefone armour 11t 5g has decided to give up, it's lasted all of 7 months not including the last month or so of poor quality microphone

Yeah my Samsung whatever number it is is nearly buggered again with cracked screen ...will go one of two ways next either something more robust and pay more if its worth it or cheap and doesn't matter.
Just a never ending money drain these smartphones.

Got new phone earlier this year 128 Inc vat. Kept it in bag at work then dropped it when out buying new floor for my nans kitchen. Cracked screen 90 quid to replace or 30 odd if I buy and try to fit. The same phone has gone up to 148 with vat now but it's not worth paying 90 just for a new screen may aswell get new phone or try to DIY?

Depends on which phone ..mate of mine used to do loads but he said some of the new ones are an absolute swine to do.
I managed to replace the camera glass on hers but that's my limit 😅

So I’ve had my Nokia XR20 for around two years and has been a good phone to me and is still good but the last few days it’s not charged when I’ve plugged it in which is a sign it’s nearing the end apparently.
s
so what new, do I order up a XR21 and keep on trucking or is there anything else worth considering?

Sure it's not crud from pockets jammed in charging port of phone

Cat s53 has been going really well, been dropped/knocked more times than I can remember. Still on the original screen protector, surround of the phone has a few marks/scratches/road rash but going strong

It’s a strange one, when I plug it in the little lightning bolt appears on the batttery indicating charging in progress but doesn’t actually charge. But if I restart it when plugged in it charges until I unlock the screen which finishes starting the phone.
