4x4 pickups or iveco's that will tow 3.5 ton

This how the Dutch do it. It is an Iveco tractor with a close coupled trailer. Depending on the size of the trailer the empty weight varies between 1400kg and 1640kg. Max gross weight is 6 tonne and it can be driven on a B-E license (before 2013). If you got your drivers license after 2013 then max gross weight is 5 tonne.

It's built in, was a video on here a few weeks back, I think the "trailer" slides in and out but it's really fixed to the vehicle so does not articulate, would have thought it's a very grey area

Some 110s do, but not as standard. 3050kg rings a bell. Pretty sure they can be easily uprated to 3.5 tonnes though.

You can buy your own Iveco Daily and have it converted. The conversion costs around £10000 ex VAT and the trailer costs around £16000 ex VAT.

Hi Capacity is the body type - it has a separate (larger) rear pickup bed (cab is closed off and not joined to it). The rear tub bolts off so they are easy to convert into tippers etc. They are often the basis for Special Vehicles conversions, a lot of which end up as 3.5 tonners.

If a 3.5t mini artic was viable i'd be doing it..... It's not and there is a reason no one really runs em in the UK.

you seem not to have understood. This is still a car driven on a car licence towing withing its plated train weight in compliance with the CAR licence which has no weight limit. The trailer may need an annual test if its heavy enough but no O licence nonsesne.

Not an easy solution to put together as you need to have an old driving licence with grandfather rights but for the right person/requirement its a gem.

Cant see that first one getting down to 3500kg MAM & having any left for the 5th wheel imposed load.

Also to tow 5 tonne on a tranny you need a pre 19-01-2013 BE licence no other licence would allow it not even CE. Plus the tanny would need to be rated for it.
