Glad I'm.not the only one who thought that. 37k and folk.laugh at transporters blowing turbos after only a 100k
Our transits are averaging over 150k and several near 200k. Just had first engine failure in 6 years which represents about 480000 miles driven across the fleet over that time . s**t happens. I blew an engine at 60k once

Just putting one of the older vans up for sale after finally getting the sign writing off (Miserable job for the apprentice). Just dug out all the paperwork on it. Came with full history and we have full history since then as well. We bought it with 98K at 4 years old in 2017 for £5200+vat ........... With inflation that is nearly £7000+vat now. Cant see many 4 year old silver transits around for £7000+vat these days. That has been 8 years/100000 miles of cheap motoring.

looks very tidy, fair play (y)
what's that currently worth - stepson is looking for just that sort of van size for his next camper conversion - did very well out of the last two he's done and had their use for many months of hol.s too

Cills need doing. 191K bit high for a conversion IMHO.... but its worth about £2000+vat I should think.

cills as in inner or outer ? :( I did some inner repairs on his first one - never again without a ramp
yeh mileage is a tad on the high side for the effort involved ... but then what sort of mileage does one do in a camper, most of the year

It's not so much the miles one does each year so much as the likelihood of the van shitting itself after you've put all the effort into fitting it out.

Might as well pay a little more for a fresher example IMHO.

I’d agree. Having done a few conversions you usually get to the end of the project and wish you’d started with a better base!

Finally got this one out on the road last week. Bit of a budget job with recycling racking etc.. lad is as Happy as Larry with it though. Air Con and Apple play and better camera and sensors. You can park this anywhere!
Racking needs a few tweaks but drekkly.
