With most of those low ball offers I reckon even if you said yes, they'd still not turn up.

I sold our old horse box the other day, chap had sent me an offer over and I replied ok I'll accept but don't come thinking you get more off when you get here.....anyway true to his word he turned up as agreed, he opened his boot for the number plate and at the side of that was the payment in full. Its nice when you get a genuine buyer who knows what they are looking at and knows its worth too.
Sold an old work van earlier in the week, lots of messers and silly offers. Chap that bought it was the same as yours, I told him the price and said I wouldn’t be negotiating. Turned up, checked it over and paid the money. Nice for a change.

Aren’t they the time wasters with silly offers?? Idiots!!

As per my other post - finally got myself a crafter , just going to have a look at it in person tomrrow, hopefully pick it up end of the week depending how long they take to ply line it etc. pre reg but worth the few k saving.

@DaveDCB when you sort the ply lining, I’d recommend telling them not to screw the rear wheel arch boxes in place but use adhesive. Both of mine were ply lined (aftermarket not factory) and the idiots have gone through the single skin and left screws poking into the wheel arch area 🤬

That’s no good! It’s being done at VW, assume they have someone come in and do it all the time… but will mention tomorrow that I want them bonding in. Stupid stuff like that soon comes to bite you when the salt gets in etc!! 🥴

That's a seriously short wb.

Mwb is 3250mm. Which is standard single cab tippers with a 10ft 6 body.

Reckon that'd been destined as an urban Arctic with how short it looks.
Looks like a demount body anyway

on the subject of camper conversions I thought this was an interesting post on FBMP this evening

Box Prices FROM 10K. I am toying with building my own MoHo with demountable box next time around. No need for full overlander but I like the idea of being able to take box off if needed. (Ie if base vehicle dies or is written off) . I was parked next to one of the 140k units last week, and reckon I could build something fun for about 25%-30% of the cost.

Overlander units in the UK are largely just ridiculous and pointless

many years ago Hoover used to run a fleet of step frame artic box trailers on very small wheels and gave them circa 14ft of height in the box - always thought one would make a tremendous double deck camper - haven't seen a similar trailer in years and dare say all of Hoovers have long since met their maker.
