Yeah rekon you could make something up quite easily. Doesn't have to be perfect if it's for your own use

Tbh a decent potato box with some ply compartments and something knocked up to hold the pipe would do the job.. also won’t get nicked by the Pikey’s for scrap

Wouldn't bother with pipe holder personally when cutting pipes especially when it's colder unless there's somebody holding the offcut you want pipe supported in 3 places along its length so it doesn't break off before you've cut through it and split the pipe down it's length.

You need to buy better pipe.. polypipe or JDP pipe doesn’t do that

Biggest thing when cutting pipes especially when it's colder unless there's somebody holding the offcut you want pipe supported in 3 places along its length so it doesn't break off before you've cut through it and split the pipe down it's length. None of these cutting aids or pipe stations address this

needs a sliding support arm then .... first mod

No what they are is a very good earner for the maker. End of the day not aimed at the smaller outfits but the bigger firms where h+s probably recommend it.

To be fair if you employed a full drainage gang doing nothing other than run 110mm pipe I doubt it would take long to recover the cost in saved fittings either not being lost/damaged and carried over to the next job rather than skipped.

I'm sure everyone here has seen bundles of fittings in the skip on big developments as it's to much hassle to keep them

lacks a squaring guide though .... it leans and grips the pipe ... a suitable pair of fingers'd help a lot for keeping cuts square

Mark both sides to length the join the lines up with some damp course then it’s just up to the operator for a straight cut

No but the weak links seem to require all the help they can get. And they are a staple of the British construction industry

Be ideal in a hire fleet as it could spend weeks in the compound pending a decision on site admittance
