those blocks're designed to be fitted in a corner ... assume that's where you're putting them??? 10mm or 7mm chain?
Yes intend to put them anchor points low in back corner on barn door posts.

Chains are 10mm

Plan is, machine on bed, chains around blade and track back till tight at which point digger will be snug near headboard (chains will be permanentlyshorted to correct lengths) then rachet it tight from track frame to existing anchor points in headboard corner.
Minimum of buggerment related to securing machine on to cart around.

dunno what they cost you but the chain's about 10 quid a metre, hooks about the same each (inc. 20% VAT)... all come cert.ed, so easy enough to assemble yer own for those sorts of things .... some co.s charge like wounded rhinos for chains like that :(

Oh I will of got my leg lifted no doubt but I've that much on at times that it happens....I'm sure most of us can relate to that, if I had more time I could save a fortune 🤷🙂

Fancy plastic coated chain though 😉

But go on Graham how much should I have paid ? Then I can decide whether to tell you 🙂

i am guessing grade 10 for the hooks and chain and grade 8 for the weld in blocks going by the colours. Sounds better then the stuff i used to deal with if it is plastic coated as it was just like a paint coating on the stuff we had and would come off on your hands if you rubbed it to hard lol

I`ve seen G8/80 in red as well.
Just ordering some G10 to try and save a bit of weight over a larger set of G8, G12 would be perfect like for like but the cost 😲

yeh i cant remember who makes there G8/G80 in red i do know i screwed my back up moving a G8 6m 4leg 16mm set that needed some repair work in to my van. we had one customer who only used G10/G100 stuff and can remembering ordering a lorry set for them (couple of 4 leg sets a couple of 2 leg sets and a couple of single leg) and alone to use it was nearly a grands worth
Says on website g100 for chains/hooks and c80 for weld in blocks 🤷
yeah G8/80 is standard grade G10/G100 is high grade so basically say a set of 2 leg G8 16mm chains will lift 11.2t the same in G10 will lift 14t

There is noticable movement of the skip when it's loaded slight lateral but more front/back too, think the marks near the hydr clamp may indicate extent of it.... should I weld some plates on skip so it is tight when hyd clamp is shut (but still allowing it to close fully) ?
Don't want premature wear on the pads or hook.

Is the hook and grab bar OK, and is it a tilting tower? If it is that OK no play in the pins and bushes?
