One of two new editions to the fleet landed this week. They don’t stay that clean for long, straight out to work on one of our recently award earthworks contracts.

Not had a proper shot of it yet, the lad Jamie that drives it is well impressed with it so far. We’ve got one with the v-pat blade on order should be with us in the next month or so.

One of three hydrema 922g’s added the fleet this past couple weeks. Glad to see they have finally addressed the mirror arm issues. Basically the same truck as the previous 922f’s we have with the exception of the new model not having an egr system on the exhaust.

When you consider the weight of the load in the body and the position of that load, I think it’s incredible the way the lift rams are positioned. I bet it makes for a very fast tip?

Trucks weigh 16.5t empty and has a 22T load capacity. 9 times out of 10 the skip is empty by the time it’s half way up.

lovely ... how do you bring your self to get 'em dirty? ...... how many times a day do you walk into the mirrors?

I like it a lot but ffs it doesn't tip high enough for anything but gravel.

Until they get 100hp back under the bonnet all newer dumpers over 6 ton are useless imo

Designed by the same knobhead that did this on a TA9, no doubt!
just what you want on the front edge of a dumper skip!

Clean machines not earning money that’s what I was always taught. Once you bang your head off them once you never do it again . Old design the mirror arms used to break off and if you weren’t lucky came in through the door glass. Made from a poor aluminium design that only had one part load bearing.

they went from Deutz to Perkins in their B series ducks ... not sure what's in the MXs though

Some of you might have seen it already from social media, the latest addition to our fleet a hitachi 490-7. First Hitatchi excavator we have ran, we did run a large fleet of fiat hitachi dozer in the past though. Comes with our usual spec, hill quick hitch, heavy duty MST rock bucket, Trimble earthworks machine control, auto lube, fops gaurds for the cab. Stick is a bit on the large side for my liking at 3.4m the other 50 ton machines we have is 2.5m and 3m sticks but it was all that is available this year. The addition of the quick hitch adds another 0.5m to the length of the stick so I can see it getting removed when it’s not required.
