i do some limited share stuff through my pension SIPP with youinvest. Have access to tracker funds etc as well for lower risk. Allways nice to see the extra 20% added on free to each monthly payment is nice also. With the changes to pensions couple years ago they are a very attractive way of saving/investing whilst being protected from scams/going bust. Can also use them to buy your yard/business premesis for a double bite of the tax free cake.

Never tried it but good idea, markets bit crazy at the mo,think people who usually bet on sports jumped in lots of smaller more volatile trades, with so much else closed down

Had a dabble on forex with a pretend account recently, saw some decent returns over the last few weeks. So gone for a full account and put some ££ in, going to play the long game with it oppose to the sit starting at a screen for 16 hrs, I just don’t have the time!
Any market tips Ross? Been keeping a eye on GBP/JPY, just following the trends at the moment..

I have won and lost a lot on it, over all up massivly but last week took a bad trade and kept adjusting my stop loss. In the end i pulled at minus 5k... Have since made up half back and typically the trade would have come good in the week (gold usd) just a bit of a dump.

I actually dont follow currency pairs to much but GBP JPY and USD JPY are both ones very closely followed by many. Look for trendlines, support, resistance, channels, upper and lower. Fundimentals such as news, covid, trade wars, job losses, manufacturing etc. You will lose some trades so this is natural you cant win them all.

If your on insta and follow Cartel FX he is very highly rated and has a course he sells for £500.00 I have it ;) wink... if interested pm me it teaches a lot.

I have pretty much traded gold since late feb and thats it. I know now 80% of what it can and will do and what really affects it etc. yesterday it was hitting a peak it hit a month or so ago so you knew to set up a trade to sell at that moment. I didnt go for the full drop it did i wanted 5 dollars. With a reasonable lot volume it was very hansom but i wouldn't of known that in the past.

also demo accounts are often are not quite the true reflection of the real graphs. There designed to entice you in.

Trade small lots 0.01 until you find your setups and how they work.

also just lastly, the long game is good but you would be better placed in stocks / shares imo. Ideally you need to day trade which involves finding setups and auto trading. The currency market is so volatile. It litrally takes something silly to happen and your long term setup will go out the window. Example, when Boris went caught covid and ended up in intensive care, the pound plummeted it was costly to many, when the fed announced interest rate cuts gold rocketed in seconds you could make hansom money

So yes, i have a friend who cannot help but trade. He cant sit out of a trade and has to be doing something all the time. I will 99% of the time trade things i can know and see. However while it may be seen as gambling, I call it risk taking. Its no different to you buying a machine for the future your taking the risk that it you will get the work. You know you will get some work but enough to pay the machine? If you trade right you dont need to trade often, you find the ultimate setups and that can take days waiting. Seb at FXcartel is a multi multi millionaire from it and some of his trades will run millions. All about setup

Its about reading this and looking for trends, support and resistance and understanding how to trade it. We will enter a bit of unknown soon as gold has not been this high since 2012. So the last peak in 2012 will be a huge sell opportunity. Put your house on it. If it gets there. The amount of people taking profit, selling there trades, selling for it to drop will be huge, you may only want 10 dollars of a big volume to make 100k

Cheers for the insight Ross.. so basically put £70 on it dropping back to 1200 and you’ll make 45k 😎 Will Dm you on insta when I get 10 👍🏼

Its not like that though you have to calculate. Im not saying its as easy as i write but if you have what i have said above, fundamentals, chart understanding its fairly predictable.

It is certainly not easy. I just found it funny that you picked a precious metal that I follow!! I love technical analysis like you are quoting but find gold quite interesting due to its historical links to money. Just a personal outlook but I would rather bet that gold is more likely to double in the next cycle rather than half.

yes gold will never return to 800-1000 dollars a oz... Its a upward trending thing and its related to money as you say given its where people go to invest when interest rates are low, or when banks are struggling etc. Its rocky on Forex as depending on leverage you can really see some losses even by just a few dollars change. but for example if you can catch 10 dollars on volume 2 buy you will net tax free a good 2k plus. Now go and look at where gold has come from mid march alone... its amazing to think i have lost in that... Its up a sharp upward trend realistically.

your looking at indicators such as, RSI, MA20 , MA50, Bollinger bands. But ultimately gold is a fundamental asset. It trades 80% fundementals and 20% charts in my opinion. Like you can predict rises and drops but they are all just traders playing the graphs out knowing to sell at previous highs etc. As i say realistically you can trade 2 trades a month on gold but you will need to look for a s**t hot trade and pull 10 dollars in one move. If you leverage up you will outdo any money you can earn working

The trick is being s**t hot at it in the first place and being able to dedicate your time. Markets are open 23 hours a day across the globe , closed only between 10-11pm UK time. You can trade different sessions which are different in themselves. Asia is quite flat for gold, it may move 10 dollars up / down but often finishes somewhere near where it started, beauty of that is its less risky to trade. The issue with it is we have no idea really whats going on over there and if the markets are needing cash or the banks are going bust etc.. Much easier for UK, Europe and USA

Read interesting article about shortfall in silver supply, only one new mine come on stream recently, most silver produced as a by product of mining other precious, rare metals,so even increase in price won't persuade most mines to increase production, less been sold second hand,
Currently riding high,ggp,avct,
Emh and orcp starting to come good, still waiting to see what eua delivers

Silver is predicted to boom to 80 dollars soon . No idea how true.
I have traded it but I trade on graphs only with it, looking at support and resistance etc , Much less fundamental driven
