Cheap enough, but I'm buggered if I'd buy a machine from a dealer who couldn't spell 'hydraulic'....
good look with the "warrenty" as well.
Listing is littered with spelling mistakes, with even their own name spelt wrong.

Specs wise it's around the same weight as the jcb 17c which is 21k-ish but the 16c is marginally lighter but also digs deeper and tips higher than the carter, although isn't zero swing but is 18k

Personally think you would have to be mental to take take a punt on one, you would need to live next door for any warranty work at least someone like JCB is national with a fleet of fitter vans and huge parts back up

I really don’t see where the market is here for these Chinese machines, which in the grand scheme of things, aren’t actually that cheap?

and I can’t see why anyone would be in a hurry to buy anything from China at the moment, or in the near future.

Just as a note regarding there spelling, there based in west Wales where I'd guess English isn't there first language and you will get spelling mistakes like that.

That being said, I dont think I'd be rushing to buy one either.. there just not good enough value to take a chance on.

they'm just not cheap enough to take the gamble are they
Dunno about that have you seen the 8 tonner price way too cheap to gamble on imo. 38k with hitch and 3 buckets 😲 So yanmar engine hitch and buckets for arguments sake knock 8k off you're getting the rest of the machine for 30k. I wouldn't want anything to do with one but at that price it comes into the bracket of no matter how bad it is its so cheap you can't knock it 😂

I purchased my Kubota off Matthew Davies. Found him to be very straight and certainly knew is plant and tractors. Would still be hard pushed to go with the carter 8 tonner when I managed to find the Kobelco for a lot less money.
I was always told when times are tough you can still sell quality but can’t give away s**t! So as we are about to hit tough times I would better fancy my chances selling the Kobelco than a Carter.

I can imagine resale value will be pretty horrific as well. I bet you'd lose more than what you'd saved after a couple of years.

Sure to be a few muppets buy one .... can see them having to up their game to survive though.

Seen one or two Sany around, they seem to be a fair bit cheaper and decent quality ? are there many in the u.k ?

I can't remember if it's sany or liugong but I went into a very large aggregate and tarmac yard and they had a few of them, big machines to 30+tonnes

For me the problem is, they are not that much cheaper to take a punt on, the 1.6t class is too close to the main boys I'm sure the bobcat 1.9 is sub 20 with interest free credit with a so so back up. The larger untowable machines seem to be a fair bit cheaper but it's a lot to spend out on a potential paperweight
The sany are near enough the same price as the competition and when the sany rep, was at my mates yard their 20t was the same price as the equivalent jcb

HE had some Liugong 20t machines a while back. We had one turn up on hire rather than the Komatsu we were expecting. It was okay, but nothing like as nice as a new Komatsu and and a few niggly little things like the auxilairy circuit pressurising every time you tracked, you wouldn't expect from a machine with less than 100h on. I was talking to the driver who collected it and he was saying there had been a lot of complaints as people were expecting a Komatsu and got a Luigong instead, but were charged the same hire rate for an inferior machine.

I can understand the potential problems if they are to be doing a multitude of tasks butt these ones where purely breaking up large lumps of concrete before they went in to a crusher and I can understand why you would want the most dirt cheap machine going
I can't remember if it was that yard or another one but I've seen then on there own raised concrete pad with a barrier round so they can't even be tracking about much

Fair point that. Provided there reliable and not horrendous on fuel there an awful lot of bigger machines in this country sitting doing one simple task. There's a fair size market for cheaper machines if the accountant is doing the buying.

People always complain about stuff like that, always wanting top quality for the cheapest price, weather it’s machines or the work your pricing for. The fact that some of the top demo contractors have taken them says it all really, if any machine is going to be worked in extremely harsh environments it’s with the demolition contractors and quarry’s.
What you seem to be forgetting is that, the same was said about, Hyundai, Doosan and Kobelco machines when they first came into the UK, and look at them now, 3 very respectable brands in all sizes. You buy cheap, you sell cheap, think I’d rather take one of those than something that was home grown so to speak.
