Front garden was a foot long no way my little electric mower would of coped so took closure post off of wall to get in all you see is it for grass and quickest I've ever done it filled 2 box collectors View attachment 12853

not a bad idea ... have a spare OJ tank here ... 1500+ ltrs ........ truth is the Dane is a far easier proposition, just needs to dry a bit more

spent seven years looking for our forever / last home ... looked at some great places with either s**t access/pig farm next door/no views/etc./etc. .... this ticked all the boxes, bar the outbuildings ... it didn't have any .... but we compromised .... and creating somewhere to put one has kept me occupied for a while.

Was 2 pass as get better finish being that long thus one is not so good with wet grass as the countax but is a diesel engine Kubota

took it apart/removed it the other day and spent an hour or so this morning re-assembling it 'fore the boss an' 'her assistant' gave it a couple of coats to freshen it up

went back together very well TBH ... will do 'til a replacement can be 'procured' ... wouldn't believe it was the same gate

was surprised at how much of a 'lean on' yon pillar has adopted lately !! .. piece of tish pillar and will get rebuilt in stone, when the wall gets stone faced .. it's doing its job for now

spent an hour before tea tonight going through all me chains ...

Lidl's finest 20 quid sharpener ..... one of the best 20s i ever spent

now have a full compliment, ready to rock ......

anyone ever seen one of these before ?? ...

american thing ... have had it 25+ years ... always been a great little saw, but refused to start last time I wanted to use it, so it's on the bench for attention tomorrow ... very comfy to use and light enough to use hour after hour

question for you all .... got three heads like this .....

..... missing the eyes out of the feed slots for the cord
... had to rob a cast ali eye out of this one this morning, when i refilled the strimmer head, on the Husqy, as one of its eyes had broken up .... no spares left now and seems a bit extravagant to go buy yet another head for want of the ali eyes replacing on all four that i have sat ..... anyone suggest a source for said items ??

and on a previous theme ....... 's a hard life being a cat ...... Zzzzzzzzzzzzz

VERY nearly bought a Colchester Mascot on ebay this morning... was at 1500 quid with 5 minutes to go ... an' no bids ....... trouble is 'twas in Hull and 'er indoors'd've gone batshit having a Shipley truck turn up next week
luckily (for me, anyway), it jumped to £2+K in the last 30 seconds so decision made
was a well tidy lathe for that though... but a longer bed ... really want a shorty

Hull’s not far from me. Trouble is my trailer is currently parked in Charfield and Borris says I can’t come and collect it!!

It carries a long bed Colchester Triumph very well. It’s how my machine literally followed me home. Problem was I didn’t have a Drema to lift it off.
Nowt a bid of scaffolding and a 2te chain block couldn’t handle. Neighbour sure looked a bit worried when he saw 1200kg of lathe hanging 3ft up on the air.

Better luck on the next one ....

Crackin job....that's an example of how to get by in these times I guess...makes you take stock of things doesn't it? How often you just grab a new replacement...speaking for myself anyway.

aye , bit of a lump ... would skate in easy enough .. done a lot worse ... they do a 40" version ... that's a 98" ... but few and far between the 40" is only 2 tonne ... and 58" shorter obviously .... would really like to find a Mastiff with the 90mm spindle bore ... only 80mm on the Mascot. " The 40-inch between-centres Mastiff 1400 was 98 inches long and weighed (2320 kg) " .... would fit real nice, where I'd like to park it rare beast though

put 4 of these into a customer's factory ... laid them down and skated 'em in .... right through their stores and press shop

and installed in position

this was the awkward bar steward ... 28 t ... hence the 60 tonne crane to off load it and lay it over ... the Stenhojs were only 14 t each

not a lot of headroom, so this also came in on its back ... this did take some standing back up, in it's exact location .. no headroom to skate it about once upright

having looked at it, there wasn't a great deal of damage ... it'd just not been able to withstand the incessant wind, any longer and fell apart ... so dismantled it properly and re-assembled it .. went together sweet as ... then made sure it wasn't going to do it a second time with a lot more fixings .... will certainly do for now .... or as long as it sticks the pace ... it's in better nick now than t'other one beside it ... which might get the same treatment 'praps
