Brilliant light if you can get them down low enough?
the ones in me shed are 4m up, but give excellent light ... aside from the areas shaded by the overhead shelving

The higher they are the less shadows you’ll have..
I can email you photos of mine lit up at night if you want? Edmondson electrical sent off my dimensions to a supplier and have a dedicated design and light spec back.

Yes there is a science to lighting design and the suppliers may do the design for you.

I just bought a 600x600 modular LED (normally used in suspended ceiling grids) but in a surface mount frame. Bloody amazing in my small office!

Had a electrical company out (wholesale) who do a spec service with lighting.

Suggested 12 x 48w 6 ft tubes lowered to around 5 meters.

Going to run with it

The trick with LED is to ensure that you're using a fitting with some sort of diffuser - otherwise it can end up a bit harsh.

Mind you, this reminds me of the time I changed a trade counter's lights from a dull orange to daylight, and one of the whiney staff complained they were hurting his eye and burning him.

Needless to say nobody believed him and he soon shut up.

Here ya go: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/113723148004

£25 with the driver. Ideal for my office, as I was able to position it over the ceiling rose, with the driver tucked up behind it.

Sorry, I've tried rotating it this end and it keeps ending up sideways when I upload.

I'm not sure, it was all one unit but provides very even light.
5 x 4 ft doubles in me box ... gives a decent light to do summat in .... conventional starter-less tubes though ... went up before the LEDs were so easy (and cheap) to acquire ...... they'll do 'til they die ....

You have to be careful when it comes to machine lighting using LED, the strobe effect can have the effect of making a spindle running at a high rpm look like it’s stopped. People have a tendency to put their hands close to things they think are stoped and it can cause serious injuries. We have fitted special led lights to machines and quite expensive but bloody good.
