As Druid says, if you want top marks in man maths it’s a 25% discount on a good year..

investment in capital plant used to be 50% ... when did that go down? ... was always a good way of losing taxable bucks at the end of the year - big spend equalled less tax payable and you had the kit to use / make life easier -- win win all round

premises maintenance was 100% - 's why I had such a nice palisade fence round the entire yard ... better than giving it to the blood suckers

How were you running such a big operation and not ltd?! There must be a story there?

Its crap nowadays with divi tax. May as well be sole trader.

capital .... and as a sole trader/partnership you have a much free-er hand to play 'the game' your way ... far too many downsides to becoming limited

I always thought you ended up in higher tax bracket too easy if one good years instead of one bad. Although like I say the govt has steadily eroded any benefits of ltd these days. I suppose if you want the dough in your own name you have to swallow the tax at some point.
