I could be a Takeuchi with it's exceptionally short warranty.... I also know of a member on here who when his boom twisted and the warranty mattered found it was worthless.

Being realistic with gate drop values is sense, and let's be honest your Takeuchi will drop 5-10k in it's first week of work..... No one is buying any machine a year old from anyone but the main dealer without a significant discount.

At what I'm getting as PX, plus 0%, plus the fact I trust the dealer. I don't think there is much matching from elsewhere.

Ultimately as long as it stacks up for you then who are we to argue!

Personally I don't care about first year or second year valuations. To me id cost a machine over say 5000hrs and and what is going to cost me the least in that 5000hrs. Tracks and servicing aside I'd expect very little extra outlay in that time frame.
