It's a boy!I would be after it if local. Not tried a TMT but I think the boom has some advantages. Underrated tools IMHO.

I was thinking the same, however it would be slow and bulky compared to an Avant. Cheap tho.It wouldn't be perfect due to geometry but the boom one could work ok with a bucket.
They don’t ‘push’ very well . At least my Moffet doesn’t unless you use difflock, then it usually stalls as it’s underpowered in that scenario .I was thinking the same, however it would be slow and bulky compared to an Avant. Cheap tho.
Not so much a problem with a telescopic boom as you can use the tele to load the bucket whilst the machine stay still. They don’t ‘push’ very well . At least my Moffet doesn’t unless you use difflock, then it usually stalls as it’s underpowered in that scenario .

You definitely wouldn't buy one to use as a loader but think if you had one a bucket would be worth having.
was that the farmer guy who was into buying / selling bits of plant - bit of a cowboy but entertainingI came very close to buying this one a year or so ago. Aux hydraulics and 4m reach
Needed a bit more work than I wanted . Very handy tool and a genuinely towable Tele .
That’s the one. Find it/fixit/farm it Nice enough but considering they have a workshop on site I was pretty disappointed with the list of issues we found on the Manitou. If they had spent a day on it to sort the easy bits (missing wheel studs and leaking parts) and been honest about the other bits from the start I probably would have bought it.was that the farmer guy who was into buying / selling bits of plant - bit of a cowboy but entertaining
so you coming up to Gloucester ??That’s the one. Would still be keen on a nice one - but pretty rare bits of kit
No the SLT is a proper Tele. Very different beast to the TMT. More power and Hyd flow and aux as well. Plus narrow enough to get on a trailer.so you coming up to Gloucester ??
ah - so the Manitou was a 'buggyscopic' type jobbie all be it a three wheelerNo the SLT is a proper Tele. Very different beast to the TMT. More power and Hyd flow and aux as well. Plus narrow enough to get on a trailer.
Similar DNA but hydrostatic drive . Think the buggiscopic has mechanical drive to wheels whereas the SLT was individual drive motors .ah - so the Manitou was a 'buggyscopic' type jobbie all be it a three wheeler![]()
