realistically you could achieve a lot of that with a set of extensions ... with the ability to travel the forks forward/backward, you can slip the extensions right through a pallet to get it back on the heels for trundling about, then extend forward, dump, retract and lift again on the extensions to get that reach ... little more faff than having hydraulic extenders, but with the legs, it'd still be stable reaching - no less so than with hyd ext. forks
I’ll disagree, you needs to be able to get it back close for transport, but with legs down you can lift a fair bit at full reach , but need to get it back in close as soon as poss. Extensions useful, but not as good!
I’d not want to be without them. You can also get scissor effect reach which push the whole carriage out a 1000mm or so.

We've 2 pedestrian kooi-aap forklifts and use a tri axle 18ft tilt bed ifor williams trailers to move them. Prior to that had a 16ft tandem tilt bed but too sore on tyres (too hard to balance and overloading 1 axle).

What’s a pedestrian Kooi-aap? 1 wheel drive version?

What man as done, man can do, what never has, maybe
I have the manitou version (telescopic boom) 3wheel drive and will go places you would not believe, plus crab steer but the best thing is the forward / reverse is on a stalk on the steering column not a rocking foot pedal even has a switch to give drive to all the wheels (like a diff lock)

Only thing is they are wide and need to think where the off side wheel is when going somewhere narrow

4 way steer and boom lift would be an upgrade :) shuttle on the column would be better than the pedal. You can do MORE with the pedal as left hand steering/right hand on the hydraulics and both feet busy.. but it can be a bit sensitive sometimes.

The newer manitous put the shuttle o a switch on the joystick so you can do everything at once. Really ice machines and really useful being able to crowd the forks that much

This one is up for sale - I just linked it on the auction watch page as well. Not seen one before that isnt lorry mount. Its like someone looked at the lorry mount and said 'Hey, lets make this better!' Euro8/ 3rd service, 1500kg lift with mast in, 40lpm pump, only 6ft wide so will go on a plant trailer. I want it! Only downside is that its going to be marginally less nimble and lose the 0m turning circle of the moffett, but small price. :) Edit. And guess no side shift unless you have Euro 8 forks that slide? LL has a manitou tele in yard that side shifts by waggling the boom, but that is a very old lorry mount version.

Anyone got an opinion of the valuation of this? I tempted by it as only an hour away. Its 3000 hours and missing the big rear cover.
