...... when you have to wipe the frost off it and thaw the locks to get at yer tools ...... but at least it is dry for a change -- sort of ..... t'ain't dropping out the sky ....... we did have some snow blowing in the wind last night though, 'bout midnight ... was half expecting it to be white this morning, but just white with frost instead☹

Equally 'kin cool here this morning ... hence on here for a little while, 'til the sun burns off the freezing fog ... clear down the village, at the school, but proper white everywhere ... hard ground frost ☹☹ ..... thermo says -3C ATM ... my ears say lower .... could be a bobble hat day

Always wear a hat Alex ... lose a high percentage of your body heat from your head .... 'specially with a #3 for a cut .... and once the cold sets in I usually have a light cotton 'scarf'/neckerchief wrapped around the neck to keep the drafts out ... amazing the difference it makes to staying warm ... and I mean AMAZING !!
As for the gloves . hate working in them, but must admit to having a pair of those orange knitted ones on today, with the criss/cross sili. grips ... excellent for handling slippery pins and wet steel ..... but got left on the bench for the nitty gritty bits .. they hold the sparks/spatter too well

there's been a very large pile of spoil/soil/crap/boulders in my way for some considerable time Rory
... only recently have I had it all flat and surfaced ... I have one more/last 'obstacle' in my way .......... well two to be precise, but the one's easier to resolve

Can we donate money to the cause in return for banning Uncle Alb's off here.... he is very old you know and past 9pm he should really be in bed asleep
Currently he seems to stay up past 12pm on this forum and no doubt plotting how he will run the country after the 12th
