Is the backhoe loader a thing of the past?

I used to have this mf30e tractair, paid about 2k delivered for it.
Sold it when I bought my Chinese loader, should have spent some money on this instead, added a quick hitch and better front tyres. Having said that, it would never have been any good in the mud so wouldn't have done a lot of what I've done with china's finest.

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
I’m all out of ££ for toys currently. Got a mates Kx613 storing at mine which I can use, and now a 4-1 bucket for the little tractor …. So that will do me on the farm/shed project for now and not cost me ££ in the progress.
Mind you If I was called Dan I might have gone for it 😂
Nice to see a machine that’s been looked after
it's a tempting ad. I must admit ... but I spent a few bob on merry crimbo to me bits so any more might not sit well :giggle: ... closer to home I'd be very tempted to go eyeball that TBH

Your not wrong on farm master 2cx but pto and 3 point linkage was midi cx not the 2cx

2 weeks ago I saw a 2dx for sale. A beast but only limited market.

Google says a 2DX is an 2wd 49hp back hoe with canopy and optional 4WD?

Also seems the Farm Master just has a weight in place of the Compressor compared to the air master .. with bigger wheels.

Useful tool

To be fair if you could find a tidy one JCB did a 2D? back in the day. Based on a Nuffield/Leyland. 3point, PTO, backhoe etc.
My dads first machine was a2d , I spent many hours sat in it as a kid.If I could find a tidy enough one I would love to try and restore it and use as a yard machine
