I was waiting for something in the tool shop the other day and needed a new adjustable so played with them all. The bahcos didn't seem near as good as the old ones. Eventually picked out a Milwaukee. Didn't realize how expensive it was until I checked the receipt and in still not that impressed with it. Think tbh there is no such thing as a decent adjustable. So I bought a pair of knipex pliers wrenches. And really can't get on with them either.
Infact every time I use an adjustable I just get peed off with them, and wonder why I thought it would be quicker than just finding the right tool.

An adjustable is handy but the right spanner or socket is definitely better

Does anyone use a pump to extract hydraulic oil?
The Avant is a pita to drain as you can't control the flow from the sump plug.
Did wonder if a self priming tube would work?

Yeah I've used one on my dumper, just a cheapo 12v inline pump off Amazon.

From memory it was a bit slow but got it done fine.

How much does it hold? On big oil drops I just put empty drums straight under the flow.. & speed it up by taking off the filler cap 🤠

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
Venturi air powered vacs are the dogs dangles! We have one that will empty a 200drum in 90 seconds and then refill it again just as fast. 1.25” hose and if it fits in the hose…. It’s gone :)
have had one maybe 30 years .. don't use it often but a great tool ... very good at cleaning M/c tools of swarf/chips too (y)

Will yours suck and blow or just suck? I have got an old 1990s Australian Drag-in? version that is suck only, but its much more efficient on air than the Big Ex-Air. Found a photo of our rig. We kept blowing barrels up when emptying so made this out of stuff lying around. I am working from home as power off at yard. Wasting time on here rather than approving invoices :-(

Serviced the tb016 this morning. It was done last year by a local company.
On the engine oil drain plug the protective brass screw on cap was missing and I'm sure there was a protective plate covering the plug.
Anyone know where I can get a replacement cap? Also does anyone know if there is a small cover bolted underneath?
Also the fuel line was only just open so glad now I've started doing it myself

Oil and filters done today and new wipers on the van. Can't believe how easy the wipers were, then found a puncture in tyre from our industrial estate again 😡
