I think a lot of people are looking at this the wrong way. Surely it is not about what you pay for your equipment, it is about what profit that equipment makes for you? If you need all the bells are whistles to get the job done or the client insists on them, as long as you earn the return you are happy with that is what counts for me. On the other hand if you buy higher spec than you need and don’t get the return on it you are doing something wrong and will probably go bust.

All the attachments must add up to a fair sum as well. I’m still struggling to see where £100k comes from though.

I agree about the Kubota. I find it hard to believe his setup actually cost £100k, and if it did I'll be amazed if he can make a viable return on investment.

In fairness to him, he does have the 3D idig on that machine (i think) which will be the best part of 20K

Sounds a touch excessive but then it can be shared between machines.

If we’re including everything that can be attached or fitted to a 2.7t machine then mine can’t be far off a 100k digger
