I think the problem with trying to justify the financial outlay is the advantages are so difficult to quantify, occasionally i think having the tilty saved a lot of time on a certain task, but the majority of the time its a little bit here and a little bit there which accumulates during the course of a day, i have no idea if or when it will have paid for itself but i am quite happy with the investment i made as it suits my circumstances perfectly, if i had a good team of reliable, motivated and skilled labourers instead of one knackered 66 year old numpty i would possibly think differently

Absolutely loving this setup - buttery smooth, wacker handles it lovely, not at all noddy, very precise.
First job this morning and hedge had to come out in prep for some pathways/parking etc, bloke who helps me from time to time watched it for 10m and said "fooking hell, right I'll go get stuff off the truck ready to mark out, blow horn when dumper needs emptying " !
Most impressive part is its nothing that you can't do without a tilty but it's nearly all from one spot - hardly any collateral damage and quicker.

Yes its first time in a long time something has exceeded expectations - much more relaxing than tracking all over searching the angles etc

Looks very neat.
I was sat in traffic today watching a 13t Hitachi with engcon on today. Obviously not well rehearsed with it as he was making a right dogs dinner of the job. I think he would of been better with a standard bucket as he could only make a mess in one dimension at a time.

TBH I'm really suprised how quick it's coming, suppose having 7 years of a tilt bucket has helped, obviously im at the start of the learning process with it but don't think it's going to be too painful ...in fact it's pretty enjoyable
Even took it home to do a little Sat morning job (wtf) that I would surely of said no to but reckon the tilty/gripper will make it an easy little earner.

Glad to hear its working out well, the Wacker was obviously a good choice, how much have you had to play with the aux. settings to get it smooth, i've often wondered how well you can get them set up without a control system, it just depends how tuneable the machines settings are i guess.

I don't know how it compares to a control system but it's more than good enough for me, dc2 joysticks are surely better than what is in the wacker but they are comfy enough if you know no different.
Control is easy - the jog wheel is set to either one of the aux's, so its default is rotate at the moment and can be changed to tilt, so while your working you can just about with your pinky dial up the flow, the other day when I couldn't reach dumper I was spinning bucket round to load, so dialed flow up a bit so it rotated quicker then slowed it back down for more control to tidy batter I was working on.
Also think I mentioned before it has a "go" point that gives you a larger range of motion on the thumb before it feeds in the flow - seemed to have found a good setting with those and just alter flow now depending on jobs.
Here are my thoughts on the rest of it.....although not really a Kub fan I liked the kub U55 and KX57 and would of been happy enough with either,but they were in need of an update and the new KX060 was out of my budget by the time a tilty was put on.
It's a 2017 so must of set the standard back then, some quality touches and careful thought has been put into it.
Good storage in cab, proper cup holder thats takes all sizes, comfy seat, easy control system, rear camera,lighting all round in skirts etc,grease gun/straps etc storage under door, refueling pump, access is good all round, tilting cab which is superb,visibility good,very smooth and quiet in the hydraulics (puts 3t Kubota to shame) auto aircon, intermittent wiper,take bottom glass up over with front window, either right out of the way or leaving a rain guard, decent on fuel, very stable, handled the heavy old tilt bucket better than the 8t kubota.
Negative would be boom could lift up a bit higher , there is xtra room to lift and not foul anything, so although it's compact if you were working down driveways and tight sites a tab boom would be better, I've stopped noticing it now tbh and tilty seems to have negated it to a point, but when I first jumped on it it was what I noticed.
Don't know why they aren't more popular, maybe backup or price or a combination of things but it deff a v good machine.

Don't take any notice of the doubters. It is your money and if you can justify the cost it is entirely up to you. But, I'm sure you will find both time savings and making your life easier with a tilt rotator. Whether it makes you more money or you have more time off, or some balance in between is for you to decide.

That system sounds superb, and ideal for the tilty, wish my Takeuchi had such a user friendly set up to adjust flows. Glad to hear the cup holder is up to scratch also (@Gunners )
