Ok for a start those spools are different, the centres are aligned differently, so by changing them they wouldn’t be operating in the same way! That’s what I needed to know!

What about the spool from the fast track valve can you show me that?

I will strip it back down and take some pics for you
im going to strip it now and get some pics.

but i just realised i didint test it when its not under load. so here are the finidings :

tracking is jumpy
lift skip and down is fine
tip skip works but is really slow at tipping but is fine when empty.

These are pics of the 2 speed spool.

Also cant see any dammage on it but i think this spool.is the same as the tip skip 46059

Ok so replace the lift spool with the two speed spool, put it all back together and see what happens, the reason the other spool is different is because the two speed spool only works one way! By the way they work, the lift and tip spools should be the same profile👍

I did think the lift and the tip should be the same. but i dont think they are ? and i cant find any information online to what spool number goes where to make sure they are correct

They are both rams, so would require oil both sides of the piston to operate on this type of system the two speed track works in a single direction to increase oil flow!

do i need to use new seals every time i pull it apart?

On the spools not necessarily if you are careful when stripping it!
ive Stripped it down and i am waiting for new o rings ( better safe then sorry)
it seems like the spools was in the wrong order too. if the lifting ones are meant to be the same.

the 2 speed spool was in the lifting slice.

anyways ill get back on it at the weekend, with new o rings and spools in the correct order

Bit of Sherlock Holmes fitting there, but I think we may now be getting somewhere!

Hi , back again :)

Finally rebuilt it, with that i think is the correct spools in the right places, tracking spools the same and the lifting spools the same.

I have ran it for about an hour to try and get any air locks out and this is what's happening now.

Also used new seals just incase

2 speed no longer works, only goes slow

tips fine un loaded and loaded

lifts fine also loaded and unloaded ( no longer sticking on the way down )

and it back to be being a bugger to turn under load

Great that we have sorted all the ops out correctly, most track layers struggle to turn smoothly due to the physics of how they turn and the grip level!

Glad to have helped, do you think the dumper has been like this from the factory or someone has been fitting the wrong parts somewhere along the line?

I think someone have been trying to fix a problem before me and all they have done is caused another.

it seems we have fixed the skip lifting problem and lost the tracking speed.

i think i am a professional at stripping this thing down and rebuilding it lol. but i don't have a clue on what is causing the problems

Oh so the track speed has got less than it was? Try swapping the hoses around on the two speed track!
