what's the bench ? - it looks sort of familiar
Home build plywood job, from a fairly generic Internet plan.
Supposed to have been my woodworking bench but it's sturdy enough for everything really. I had an atv flail mower on it last year πŸ˜†

I forgot about this, picked up all the frame timber for the bench in the D2 for some reason πŸ˜… took it all easily enough though

Another cutting and drilling session after work, cross beams ready to clamp on, drill and tap into position.
Then its back out with the tape measure, string and chalk to decide on finished heightsπŸ‘

All the cross beams in- bottom one closest to the camera is just for building/positioning, will unbolt when the sheds in place.

Good day today, didn't think it would be as I had to dig up some of my planings to finish a job πŸ™ƒ πŸ˜…
Did that, took them to the job, spread and whacked πŸ‘
Then my mate had just collected his and his Dad's new toy, 1937 Morris 8! Very nice it is too, hopefully he'll take it to some of the shows we take tractors to πŸ‘
Back to the barn, raked andwhacked the planings, they've firmed up lovely. Might top dress it with another couple of ton when they're back in stock but good enough for now πŸ˜€
Then back to the yard, put the wheels on a toolbox then cut a hacked about bit of 6x2 into a top for it. It's a good box for what they cost- this one did 7 or 8 years in a van before I got given it (resultπŸ‘Œ) but I need to remember it's not my Mac, no Td5s on this one πŸ˜‰
Fired up the Giant, trundled down to my mates unit, picked up the bust whacker and a non starting petrol pressure washer, back to my yard for some attention.
2 AV rubbers completely sheered so I took it apart a bit and drilled out the remains ready for replacements. A little job that started with 'you can weld can't you?' 'Sort of, let's have a look, I can certainly advise at least'πŸ˜†
'Er no, I can't weld up the AV mounts Joe'πŸ˜† πŸ˜‚ 🀣
Pressure washer can wait for tomorrow πŸ‘

Monsoon this morning πŸ˜•knocked my soil pile about a bit but it's just too wet. Nice not to have a big pile blocking the view though, and I can see the levels.
Should start on the timbers on the digger shed but I really can't be bothered with getting all the gear, and me, soaked πŸ˜†

Bit of yard tidying this weekend. Moved a pile of ballast, knocked out a pile of hardcore/soil and whacked it down. I want to put a lorry load of planings down to flatten the back of the yard a bit, when I can get hold of some! Long term I want to put a retaining wall in and bring it up totally level, it's really tedious parking trailers on a slope all the time.
Chucked a few more bits on pallets and stuck them out the way while I had the Giant out.
This afternoon I took 5 tyres to 1 tip then 6 to another- you're only allowed to take 5 at a time but if anyone had asked I'd just said I couldn't count πŸ˜† πŸ˜‰ About the same amount left, maybe next weekend πŸ‘
Moving the tyres has shown up an alarming number of old tracks, so I best find a way to get rid of themπŸ€”

Day in the shed today, tidied out the whole back of the disco, moved some bits round for a bit more space, put some longer screws in the bench castors then started fiddling the ransomes engine into place.
2 mates in doing landrover bits. Series 3 24v FFR getting a front NATO hitch and a bit of an outing. Td5 110HD having some rust treated, steering damper, bumper and bulbs πŸ‘πŸ‘
Good day in the sunshine

snap .... 'cept mine is all in one piece -- MG2?? ... assume you're not fitting the original Ransomes engine ?
View attachment 70088
Mg5, came with a pair of 6.5hp unbranded Chinese engines, replacing them with a 13hp loncin.
Have got the original engine and it could go straight back in if I wanted to. πŸ‘
