if you're limited on current output Doob, go down to a 0.8mm wire .... you'll still lay down 15kgs off a 15kg spool, just a little slower

... but you'll be able to achieve much better heat and penetration ... and control .... plus spray is much more easily achieved .... torch wants to be at about 75 degs, just behind the melt pool and filling it at the leading edge of the pool, before moving on (but obviously a continuous, smooth process, once filled at the start point) and make sure you fill the full width, with obvious penetration at the outer edges of the pool ... try not to hump it

.. hard to explain in words
Assume you mean manifold / base plate ..... any pix

.... may have 4 or 6 holes/ports .... two P, two T, an A and a B or just one P & T ... if two, plug one of each, unless you're feeding something else P, T, A & B are marked on the cetop .. your P into the manifold needs to correspond with the P port on the cetop when bolted to the manifold/base plate ... etc.
Tee in a pressure gauge at the P port ... and read it whilst running the winch under load. .... with an open ctr. cetop, you'll have to load the winch for a true reading
