Looks like an LT105 2000kg gross rather than an LM?

Some LMs are 2.7t and some are 3.5T. Not sure about LT. 2000gross doesn’t leave you much payload ?

Marker lights a great idea, have them on my LM105 and it really makes you (and other road users) know it’s there.
Decent twin lenses wide angle camera is also a game changer on a van. I can back blind round corners with this one (TT2515)

LT105, 2000kg, didn’t want or need anything bigger, we live up a very steep hill that just keeps going and going, learnt my lesson when towing a 3 ton digger, (2200kg), on a plant trailer up here, the gearbox didn’t like it and blew an oil pump seal and wrecked a bearing.
This way I won’t be tempted to tow too much weight

It's a weak spot I'm afraid. I've been dragging 2.8 ton diggers around Dartmoor for 14 years with barely any incident other than normal wear and tear. Defender and Discos.

Gearbox will probably s**t itself this week now I've said that

usable low box is your friend. My main complaint with Japanese 4WD. Can’t use Low box without fecking difflock trying to rip itself apart

Yeah that's what's always put me off the jap stuff. Although with my automatic disco I rarely need low box. Put your foot down and it goes regardless of hill or load.

Most of them can be fitted with an aftermarket switch to disconnect 4wd when in low range

I’ve tried a few times with Dmax. Dealers won’t and my local auto electrician tried and failed :-(

You have far more resilient tyre options on 13 inch rims.

On my hilux it's basically a switch to kill the feed to the vac pump on the front axle. I'll have a look on my dmax to see if I can shed any light on it for you.

10" tyres get a lot hotter at speed and blow out more frequently ... if you're changing tyres anyway get some 13" rims and go to Saveros

I prefer to buy new trailers . Used ones never seem such a good deal after you’ve put a full set of tyres and brakes on them .

165R13, will they be ok seeing as they’re slightly wider than 145’s on there at present.
Also, does anyone know the offset I need for them to fit ok.

Have a look at your old rims, it should be stamped on them ET something
