Anyone interested in this reliable old dog as mentioned / shown above? £3800 plus vat. Absolutely nothing wrong with it bar a weep on the front kingpin seal, it’s just her new sister has a cab and loader.
I will be swapping the wheels over as they are slightly larger on the old one and I prefer that. I’ll also be keeping the gym weights but there’s a big old green weight block that can stay. All fluid and filters changed 100 hours ago. Will make a very good tractor for someone.

@doobin I would be interested in the old dog . I’ve been keeping an eye out for an iseki locally since you posted that up .
Finances at the moment though are not in place. Long story with getting self build loan sorted and needing to get underbuilding finished but if it’s not gone by the time I do get sorted then I will be in touch .

Mrs P and I had a bash at the grass/ reeds this weekend . Mrs P started with our own ride on stiga .
That did make a bit of progress but was way too slow .
I’m working with a landscape contractor who has a 26hp kubota bx261 with a 5 ft flail . He said I could try it out and he took it over.
We had a bash with it
The flail it has is a 5ft hammer flail made by mateng.
It did manage most of the areas but was a bit underpowered at times . I think I wil be looking for a more powerful tractor to buy.

My major cyclone is way overkill for everything I have ! Except I found a huge cobble yesterday and snapped the shear bolt and ruined afew of the blades

I have the 250 version which could use a 70hp tractor on it no problem, may get a old classic oneday and just keep the mower on that

Nice.
That was me yesterday and Friday.
Running the 5ft on a 30hp alpine . The BX I normally run it is just powerful enough...30 hp was nicer but still at waste length it grunted a bit...
Man I miss hydro tho
Id give the stiga miss...you'll kill it on that length.

Around 4 acres, but spread out over different sites and small paddocks so takes longer turning tractor around obstacles than mowing sometimes!

Wouldn't Say underpowered would have at that thick done a pass with flail higher as all in one go chokes the flail up as probably too much cut for the grass to pass the rear opening also so much long grass/club rush at one go would not a chance to mulch up so dumping out the back longer pieces that could have been mulched better
