My nephew decided to try drop roll bar to go under trees, from sat on the seat ....it came over at 50mph and destroyed the instrument cluster but it still lived.No idea but look at the state of the bonnet!

Sadly it's clutched shuttle. The more modern Isekis are powershift but still a clutch shuttle, which kind of defeats the object.

Just seen this ad from our local Kubota dealer - don’t think it looks expensive for a decent brand tractor with a loader.
Not hydrostatic though and will be plus vat.

No, they are total wank. They are an Indian built tractor, no better than Solis. Probably came out of the same factory.
They don’t even have a Kubota engine!! I don’t know what the hell Kubota are thinking and nor does the local Kubota salesman.

Yeah, does look a bit wank, rebadged model being sold by Kubota.
A really sad state of affairs, that Kubota being the creator of the small compact tractor are now farming out a cheap & chearful rebadge.

Kubota own escorts limited, I think it’s called escorts kubota limited, or something along them lines. So technically a kubota product and not something rebadged

I don't reckon there audience in few years time would know the difference between a Kubota and a bicycle. A nice shiny Kubota badge on the bonnet will be all they see.

You’re vital in this thread doob . A landscaper I do a lot of work with ( he’s not very mechanically minded) He had an old kubota tractor that served him well so when work got busier he bought a couple of new ones . He couldn’t understand why they weren’t a patch on his old one .

I was speaking with a guy I know locally who reckons an international 574 tractor is a great buy . He says every bit as good as a Massey , bit cheaper to get and usually with a cab . Anyone any experience of them ? I know it’s not hydrostatic but might be a option if I don’t go for a compact

Not a bad tractor, always thought of them as a poor man’s Ford. Left hand lighting strike gearbox, 4 gears, with high low reverse. Reverse is matched to low box so it’s very slow in reverse. The gear linkage can wear and give abit of trouble, nothing major. Will have 2 speed PTO, but on 2 seperate shaft, 1000rpm is a 21spline. Check handbrake works, if not it’s a full cab off strip down to replace. It might have TA, but it gave problems and a lot got bolted into high spilt. Other than that they aren’t bad, good pullers and grippers, like a drink of fuel tho. Not as nice to drive or use as a MF or Ford, but half the price
