Good load in the roof for next week's installation though
Got 5 of these to do over the next few months, a weeks minimum site work on each. Mad busy at the moment in all areas of my work

Simple. Most of the losses are what are classed as non cash losses.
You buy a crane on finance. It is depreciated over 5 years. But after 5 years it still has a value higher than in the books. As long as you have the cash to pay the finance and other costs you still have the asset to PX and release the retained value. That lowers your next finance costs. Rinse and repeat.
The key is to keep the cash flowing. Hence why plant and particular crane hire is a tough business. Haulage being particularly bad as you also have to factor high running cash costs (fuel) and an industry that is easy to start up and drive down rates.
But as always, turnover is vanity, profit is sanity, but having the cash is king!

couple of cheap cranes ... can't decide what this one is ... looking at the boom I'd say circa a 12- 15 tonner - it's a 'modern' boom ... looks very tidy for the money .. pity the damned thing is in Kent

this is deffo not as advertised .. more like '73 ... again struggling to identify the model, but'd say circa 10 tonner ... loks to be a hybrid/change over to the 120 Hydra from the previous model, looking at the luffing ram positions and legs, but with a newer cab ... which'll be as rotten as a pear

these are lovely tools ... have had a few and loved 'em -- Cummins 504 V8s in mine ...
this looks to have the straight six scania lump in it -- I'd also say it's a TMS150 too -- has the 70 foot all tele boom - no manual extension - they were the cross over from the 1564 to the TMS series - same boom as I cut up, clearing my yard - looks like it'd still put in a day's work though
