Yes with 3t swivel its always an option on trailer if there is room for it all when you get to the job .... will keep 3t swivel but also get a 6t straight tip that is better matched to 8t when I get the ability to move it.on the trailer behind the truck

Im in the throws of organising that nice 19t merc but still looking à bit and saw this.
Old at 2004 but only 300,000kms - 17t payload - steering back axle - only 7.1m long .... 25k cheaper than the merc

That will have a smaller turning circle than the mer by a lot. It looks a nice lorry and you definitely won't have to worry about payload or axle weights

Shes an old bus compared to the merc at 2004 versus 2014 .. I dont know if thats à good or bad thing but I imagine bills can be big for steering axles an such on old wagons

I don't know what your testing is like in France but we have approximately 6 weekly checks by a reputable company and these are kept so will show any signs of problems but tbh 300000k is low milage by alot of people's standards.
Will mean no adblue which is a big bonus.

No 6 weekly for us - certainly for us transporting our own goods - at 10 years older its a bit scruffy in the cab compared to the merc but might be worth à look - like you say its euro3 so I guess thats no adblue yep.

When you take bits off my daf lf in the cab they have renault stamped on them. They are all the same cabs.

See the cabs coming up by the wagon and drag load all the time going into the DAF plant at Layland often wondered where they made. Left hookers deroo trucks so guessed Holland..

The cab parts are the same as daf. It’s a handy thing the trouble is it’s a Renault if it’s a good one it will be grand if it’s not it will make you cry. If your handy on the spanner’s tho…. Won’t be to bad then.
i ended up with 2 mans once everyone said there s**t but I loved them they never missed a beat really not a serious one anyway.
I’ve got scanias and dafs at the moment and don’t mind either of them.
Its like anything it’s what you prefer and what suits you for the cost at the time, you can buy something brand spanking new and it’s an absolute bag of crap then buy a cheapy that might do you for a month or so and still have it in ten years
i ended up with 2 mans once everyone said there s**t but I loved them they never missed a beat really not a serious one anyway.

I think I'm going to stick with the 19t merc actros ...... I dont know why exactly but I fancy the 4 wheeler more ... its expensive but should suit my needs and don't hear a lot negative about them.The cab parts are the same as daf. My little renault tipper I bought 2 and a half years ago for 1000 with 4 months mot, purley as the guy needed it out of his yard, gone straight through last 2 mot's with just brakes adjusted! Reverse cameras to look at a hook when you pick up a body or back upto a small 3.5t trailer ? Is it a decent idea or just going to get covered in shite and be another unreliable piece of chinese s**t destined for landfill after weeks of perseverance because you spent your hard earned on it?

I love reverse cameras especially on lorry's
It's amazing how much time it saves manoeuvring as you can squeeze up that bit tighter.
Just get in the habit of wiping the lense everytime you walk past

Anything I drive is brigade, due to the proximity to London, which is part of a 360 degree package with proximity sensors buzzers recording and a whole load of other overkill.
I don't know what's at the other end of the scale.
