Wacker plates

Get it brought! Probably go on a pallet? I'd like it too but the reality of a plate that size means having to have something to move it in and out of the shed everytime I need it so probably a non starter for me

You have to lift it off trailer etc can’t drive it off destroy your trailer has similar compaction force to a 135 4 ton roller. They’re a workout to steer as well.

Mine only comes out for serious compaction jobs, my main wackers are 90kg belle then the 180kg belle for vehicle traffic

The beauty of a 2540 is you can get them up a ramp onto a trailer on your own without machines to lift them, anything bigger is just a pain to load up in the morning etc. I do often think about a 80 roller, cheap to hire I know but handy to have at the back of the shed when you need it!

Not sure if centrifugal force is all of compaction but the wacker is 100kn the 4 ton 135 roller is 38/40!

The beauty of a 2540 is you can get them up a ramp onto a trailer on your own without machines to lift them, anything bigger is just a pain to load up in the morning etc. I do often think about a 80 roller, cheap to hire I know but handy to have at the back of the shed when you need it!

Same boat - id like a 100/120 roller but it doesnt really stack up for me.

I have a priority list of items to look at when I browsing, gives me a little shake.

bang on there - like the old adage goes - "jack of all trades, master of none " and " each to their own " ... both are true in this scenario

They use them on the railways connected into 3 I have the remote control for the 3 combo sadly doesn’t work on 1 as you need 2 outside ones to turn

The bigger 135 rollers are such a nice thing, they hammer the hell out of everything, satisfying hearing the chunks of rock getting crushed when you drive over them on concrete

That’s a few year old photo but it’s done less than 600 hours so still in ok condition but had lived outside

I have another one which doesn’t have handle it’s this one, but came with a rammax remote from auction so it’s currently a paper weight haven’t the time to mess with it.

It there infront of the Kubota mower with another project the sweeper that needs a new impeller but not sure I want to spend £400 on it

The correct remote are currently going for £1200 but want to test one first before throwing more money at it, so might buy a trench roller as they have same remote
