They are built very similarly to a truck though - same brake and steering setups etc. In reality they are safe/capable of the road speed (not like fast conventional tractors).Didn’t the old ones do 80kph? Bonkers

I believe the tyres are the main reason new ones ONLY do 65kph - getting AG tyres of the right size speed rated for more isn’t easy/possible.

Apparently not as good at field work as conventional tractors (bigger wheels spread the weight better for one, and visibility of the 3pl/pickup hitch/implement is more restricted). And JCB reliability can be an issue (electrical gremlins mostly).

I don`t think the steering is a direct mechanical link to the wheels, unless they have changed them.

No one said they were cheap...cost, cost and cost
This seller is worth a save if you like shiny kit...he had some on those fancy road tyres at one point seem to remember they weren't cheap...
