I’ve attached the engine, gearbox and bell housing numbers.Oh it’s an old rod type, (petter engine) what’s the letter on the serial number,
I thought as much, suppose the clutch bearing has worn, do you know if it’s and 8 in or 9 inch clutch if I’m going in I might as well replace it.So it’s probably box out for inspection of the clutch and bearing!
Yeah they give me part numbers for the drop box and recommend pes for the parts.Just checking - have you looked at the Newage page?

It was bathed in hydraulic fluid,It could be either, depends if it’s been changed before or not! Depending on the flywheel either 8 or 9 “” could be fitted, the hardest bit is getting the propshaft bolts undone![]()
hvae you tried thisIt was bathed in hydraulic fluid,so far none of the bolts have caused to much trouble, I’m tempted to use as is till it causes me problems, it was cheap starts on the button. Must be 40 years old now I can’t complain for what I need it for.

Not yet, I was looking at it, but I’m not sure how to do it, there is no resistance until about 1 inch from the stop in the picture, doesn’t look like I can shorten the rod, as clutch arm is as far back as it can go, lengthening it will take some of the slack, but will still only have 1 inch of engagement before the stop, does the clutch arm come off and have spline, in which case I could take off, and put back on set further back and would give me 2 inch of engagement, if that makes sense.hvae you tried this![]()
