Thwaites drop box oil leak

New problem, got a leak from Dropbox on Thwaites all drive 4000, not massive leak but annoying as nearly all the other jobs are now complete and just needs painting.

Does anyone know it if oil seals are available, having difficulty getting part numbers.

Is it a big job, I don’t think they tapered bearings, so don’t the think the hubs need to be preloaded when refitted,

Anyone carried this out themselves any advice.

There is a firm West Country way who will supply you everything you need, probably just from a description of the dumper. Forget the name. @JD450A will know for sure.

Managed to find the newage Dropbox manual, unfortunately it doesn’t provide part numbers.

Plant & engineering services in Devon would supply all parts & probably supply an exchange drop box if you didn’t want to do the job yourself. Worth stripping down first to see if you have any other underlying problems that caused the seals to go ie bearings or pitted shaft If you plan to repair it yourself.

From the look of it, just looks like seal is damage by dirt on the front, can’t feel any movement on the hub, so was just going to try the seal, had quote for 850 for replacement, to rich for my blood, I could probably rebuild it if needed, but just hoping to replace the seal, .
You wouldn’t happen to know the sizes, did email pes, but needs the information of the tag, I’m not home for 2 weeks and was hoping to get delivered before I got home.
