Contractor near me has been going past us everyday with 16 IBC on the back to go water trees! Nearly half a day turnaround.. with no end in sight!!
I planted 350 whips last year and lost 300 of them as it was uncharacteristically dry for Devon. Kept on top of it this year. I was about 3 weeks into it being very dry before the penny dropped, but think I have saved 95%. One larger beech tree that was moved had dropped its leaves, but after 6 weeks of bI weekly watering it’s thrown new leaves :) It’s going to be a shock when it starts raining.

You're a busy bloke - are you on your own ?
I remember someone saying to me they had been looking at our work on the internet and askin how big a team did we have, I just looked at the mrs and we both laughed, but like a crying type of laugh 🙂
But that's the thing isn't it. If you have the right kit its amazing what kind of jobs just one or two blokes can take on. Otherwise you end up like the council with 8 blokes around a lot hole with half of them leaning on a shovel having a fag

Got a mate helping me today, it makes this job a lot quicker. Should clear two sites today and have a larger one to do next week.

He brought steak for lunch. I supplied home grown marrow and tomatoes (they were to die for!) I forgot the sausages but luckily had a pack of microwave rice on board.

So we christened the new bbq. I left the old one at home for outdoor cooking, this one is slightly smaller with two seperate burners. Ideal for solo lunch but plenty large enough for two.
