I'm surprised that someone from the DNO has approved it as a method tbh.
It’s SPEN, and Emerald do a lot for them.
We used to do loads of work for SPEN and the auditing was incessant (which is fair enough).
I would imagine all of the kit on site is totally above board, and the working practices agreed (though pole climbing will be a no-no if you can do the job from a basket).
There are times when a MEWP gets in the way though (if you need the machine to lift the transformer up there may be no room for a MEWP as well for example).

Yeah they ain’t a fly by night company! Main contractor for SP energy in this area, did a good job. No problems etc. nothing unsafe from what I saw, and as I mentioned lines were off anyway.
You do see the likes of EJ fry with much better setups, tracked carrier with hiab and mewp all in one etc .

Rearranged the shed and made room for more machines. Used to have cement at the back but it made no sense as was a pain to get to.

Now I can have the alpine with dual wheels and implement in the other shed (and spare room for something else).

I’m pretty sure I’ve left a good long narrow space sufficient for the cherry picker but won’t know till it comes back. Kit at the back of the shed is rarely used so I don’t mind it being tucked away like it is. First time the tracked dumper has spend a night inside in six years!

Very satisfying. View attachment 80142

Know that feeling.

Got the access platform, 015, 108, two track barrows and ride on mower inside today.... Need to tidy up some more as I want to get the Hinowa forklift, another 108 and the 219 in the same shed.
WHat mewp have you bought?

Tidying away rocks left over from a project back in Jan. Tb290-2, still weak on the tracking but otherwise lovely machine.
