that is going to be an expensive repair - for her ... obviously blind to flashing orange indicator lightsWell today's little job went well- sorting out 2 hang ups left by my Dads customers tree surgeon- he felled them to clear the new fence line, they hung up so he left them, 'I'll send a team out with a winch'. Week later, no sign of said team, trees needed outing and sorting out other peoples mistakes is always expensive
Not a great morning though- as I turned into the gate a woman in an audi crashed into me
No damage to my truck and luckily my Dad and his 2 customers saw she hit me, not the other way
217r has done well this week- done £1000 of jobs in 2 short days, used a quater of a tank of diesel and about 4 hours on the clock.

And I KNOW I was indicating as I'd checked the trailer tell tale was flashing a few seconds before.
Glad I've got witnesses, don't think the woman will give any trouble- or her son who came and drove the car home for her, he actually thanked us for being decent about it.
But we all know what insurance companies are like
Not much good for anything behind or on the sides…. But yes they have helped us avoid paying excess a couple times
Many have front and back pointing cameras (good if you need to show the driver was / was not paying attention), while others can have a rear mount camera wired in.
It’s easier in a car, vans or trucks have to be externally mounted so rain and condensation becomes more of a PITA. I’ve got one with a rear mount and you have to remember to wipe it every morning

It’s a gate house on an estate we do a huge amount for, it’s nice to be involved in a quality ongoing project like this,keeps us really busy and it’s all nice work.
Priced the job well enough to not mind though , and every visit there tends to lead to more work for a genuinely nice couple ). The guy had driven his (very smart) iveco flatbed with hiab next to the log shed, on grass and inevitably got stuck. I would have thought hard before taking a trailer behind the defender there today, felt very soft/damp, never mind a 2wd truck with a crane and 8 dumpys of logs on! Low range, diff lock, straight out he's left a bit of a mess behind but no ruts fortunately- he didn't have the traction to dig himself in no pictures unfortunately

they do some amazing jobs, all the biggest and best houses in the area! Lads were telling me they did a blokes garage… 250k of glazing - in his garage!!!
