Just realised put it in the wrong thread....

For cutting the sprocket off or the track motor, which way will be best to tackle it, I don't have a cutting torch so will be a recip saw. Is it a case of cutting the sprocket up in the hope it cracks or just blast through the bearing or through the motor to cut through the shaft.
I had a cheap 15t puller which didn't achieve much, although to be fair that was partly due to the crap design which means it can't pull inline with what it's pulling so requires the deficit filling which after several attempts all results in what ever making the gap up bending or crushing

Not job but was loaded up with micro and hinowa dumper and was off home early to collect a new dish washer as ours had died over night and next thing see blue lights a bit behind i pulled over to let them pass and he pulled in behind me,

Oh….

Quick mental check wasn’t speeding, phones on car play in the glove box, trailer was serviced 3 weeks ago……

Turns out there had been a new Takeuchi 3 ton stolen the night before in a village a few miles away and the ford ranger involved had just triggered an anpr in Derbyshire somewhere.

Did a check, mine are stickerd up inc trailer etc had a chat and he’s the one assigned with my fuel thefts left on great terms and said he swing by regularly on the other machines where they’re parked in compound.

Nice that they’re checking kit and good outcome, got his email now to direct contact him.

Steels off today and pretty much done with backfill. Just posts to cut down. Can get started on the retaining walls soon.

Lucky enough to work for the local estate - latest job is the renovation of part of this old farm.
Todays job taking out the old bread oven in the corner near the well which is relatively recent addition and a disaster for the two buildings, then have a scrape up to give the builders something workable this back end and putting 70m of twinwall (terminating in a chamber) across the field to take run off from the yard and our future topwater drains etc next spring.
Didnt do too bad as only got going a 1pm after one of those all morning meetings with the architect :(
Tommorow/thursday get the pipe and chamber in then a bit of sacrificial stone scattered about to keep the builder/roofer happy.
Some interesting old kit in one of the outbuildings🤔
The famous gripper making things easy again :)

What was that torture device for? Looks like a cross between a forestry mulcher and drum chipper inside, would definitely do some damage to anything introduced within!

might it be a blade sharpening machine? ... has that look about it ... that is some old screw press for sure

I've found four of those little yellow spotty fellas here over the years - but not very often

I dont regret the investment in this setup, as its enabled me to waste some of the time gained rummaging around old sheds :)

Looks like its some wood chipper type setup that chips and blows it up into loft space up the pipe to the left , the box under the press then slides along tracks under a drop down chute which then fills box up with whats been blown above and then it slides back along under the press to be pressed.. of course that could be utter bollocks :)

Quick search shows the firm still trading making industrial pipe and sheet bending kit amongst other things.

Been building new Devon turf faced banks over the last week. Will have a hedge planted on the top too.
A few before during and after shots. Should green up pretty quick over the next few weeks.
