Even polished the headlights. What a difference.

If its clean on the underside give it a good pressure clean wire brush the surface rust and the get some Dinitrol ML and spray it everywhere the let it dry off a bit and then spray the chassis and floors with Dinitrol 4941, It really keeps everything in good order. I do all of my classics and I did my old P38 Range Rover it kept it like new wish I had not sold it now!

I’ve used bilt hamber. It’s due another go over tho.

800, 1200, 2000 grits lubed with water. Then sponge and polishing paste. All on a 75mm hooked backing pad on a right angle drill.

The Mecalac is of the good old Benford 3000 design. They are old school 3 tonners that will actually carry 3t.

Fyi they also did a 4t, which was basically a 3 tonner with bigger wheels and a 6" wider skip.....

Modern thwaites dumpers and JCB hold literally piss all because the sacrifice capacity for trailerablity...... That said a TA3 will fit on a 12' X 6' I for

Thought the JCB 3 ton one was basically a TA3 but different paint? I'm looking forwards to getting mine cos of the hydraulic drive- I have it under good faith (@Gunners video ) that the Kubota engine gives it plenty of poke too

The first JCB 3t ones where rebadged Mechs.

New ones are JCB designed and copy the thwaites for width etc.... A dustpan holds more but they are handy in a tight spot.

My chauffeur likes the hydrostatic and its a doddle for shunting about on site
Kubota engine is powerful enough, drinks more than my old lister engined one though and could tip higher.....sticky stuff not too keen on leaving the skip.

Doing some soiling up and a planter along the back on a job we were at earlier in the year........then "While your here could you put a sleeper edge in at the front and a few slates up the path" !
Nobody has had to lift anything yet, this kind of jobbing is night and day different to before, thankfully.

Also todays job (and I’m gonna need it today!)- get the shower from the old yard set up and run a hot line from the boiler. So nice to strip, throw all the dirty clothes in the yard washing machine and then shower and go home clean.View attachment 52118

Exactly you've got a spare £40k to spend on that prop
Is that the tipper that's props gone. How much did it cost you buy it out of interest. Got my eyes on a defender tipper- trying to figure out if I can be bothered with it or not- tis very clean.

LR addiction is a genuine problem
I'm now 6 months defender-less, my previous best has been 7 months so I'm going to beat that soon
But another one WILL be coming when my ranger goes back at 3 years old(never ever again)!
Be another 110, td5 or puma, van body or ex utility. My 2 previous ones (td5 van, puma ex utility) both did 70k in 3.5 years each, the puma cost me a grand total of 3k in servicing and repairs, modifications and depreciation over that time! Don't think I'll ever manage better than that but I can try....

Daft isnt it, I keep posting on it because cant believe how useful it is...this new setup has totally transformed our jobs, its made things so much easier and quicker.

They do get some stick down the business end of the arm though....hope it proves upto it, the engcon stickers aren't going to last long thats for sure.
