Hi thanks doing OK it's just over a week still in shock but thanks again
That’s a terrible shock, how very sad for you (and obviously his other friends and family).
As you rightly say it is so important to talk things through with someone. I know that there are many people who don’t feel able to start that sort of conversation with anyone and subsequently feel alone in their personal predicament.
I’m 46 and have to date lost one old close mate to suicide, one to cancer and one to a heart attack (all were my age). It is pretty horrible odds when you look at it like that!
If you or anyone ever need someone to talk to there are always open ‘ears’ on here, either on the open forum or by DM. It is an amazingly friendly and helpful group of people and it might be that talking to someone unknown whilst remaining invisible behind a screen is enough to allow a person the opportunity to open up about their own predicament - a massively brave thing to do.
There’s plenty of weirdos accepted for who they are on here already so nobody should feel uncomfortable posting - hiding in plain sight are a machine-collecting-paint-fetishist, a crazy Italian chef with an unhealthy love of cranes, a six-toed LinkedIn-warrior-VOSA-encyclopaedia, at least one tax evasion expert, a bloke who can fix any known machine remotely just from (often poor) descriptions of the symptoms, and a truck-driving-prostitute-murderer. I can’t really think of much that wouldn’t be openly discussed here without judgement - I’d implore anyone to use this place as a ‘vent’ whenever necessary! Xx

You forgot to add future king of England to that list. I'm sure he'd lend an ear too. 👍

Your going to have to put names in there as no one here has a clue who any of the people you are talking about are🤣

What would they add in weight over rubbers?
About 170 kg I think.

No noticeable extra lift but the e27 is a well planted machine anyhow. It’s pretty subjective swinging timber around on a slope, not very scientific!

So far the only downside of them for timber jobs is that they are not nearly as suitable as rubbers for pressing the saw bar on to tighten the chain!

That sounds quite a lot. On the Kubota kx027-4 brochure it says 115kg extra if on steels.- just thinking about trailer weights and the like.

Yeah, it’s best if you don’t think too much about it!

Maybe it was 117kg then. Just trying to remember what was in the bobcat brochure.

Moving on this aft..... little Wacker is going to have to put its big boy pants on next week, we're going to try to terrasse this out on 3 levels ...it's rocky (very) and barring dynamite we might have to go with what we get, I have adjusted the clients expectations.

Nice easy one this morning, 3 stumps winched out in less than an hour- including replacing a shear pin, taping everything up tidily andtaking the stuff out , thought it would take all morning. Not worth taking the digger, would have taken longer to load up all the boards and ramps I'd have needed than the job took! Another new, happy customer 😀
